--Renee's pov--

I woke up to the radio and I jumped up out of bed. Today was the day! Today was the play, and mom (Juliet) and dad (Andy) are supposed to come see me star in it. I haven't seen them in person since New Years. I can't wait!!!
It was The Great Gatsby I was playing Daisy. My best friend Kannon was playing Gatsby and my other best friend Taylor is playing Nick Carraway. I had my play costumes ready and my hair dyed blonde. It was going to be perfect. I got ready, putting my make up on light gold eyeshadow and black eyeliner, I straighten my hair and put on my bangles sweatshirt on and black leggings with my black vans.
I grabbed my bag and my stuff for the play and went down stairs.
"Grandpa! Can you take me to school?!" I called out from the kitchen. I was still 15 at this time but I'm turning 16 in a month.
"I'm in the living room you don't need to scream!" He yelled.
"Oh sorry." I said.
"But yes I can take you to school." He said putting his shoes on, I put some coffee in my big mug with a lot of creamer and got in the car. He took me to school and got out of the car and into the auditorium. I went back stage to the costume area for girls and put them on the rack with the sign "Daisy" on it. I then went to the hallway and saw my three closest friends; Kannon, Taylor, and Kristen.
Kristen is doing hair, make-up, set design. Just about everything but playing in it.
"Oh daisy, daisy." Kannon said reciting lines from the play.
"Gatsby!" I yelled going on my knee dramatically.
We all started laughing I saw Kristen had a Juliet Simms hat on and and black veil brides shirt on.
I wish I could tell them, but I can't all they know was I had a deadbeat dad and a dead mom.
The rest of the day went on. Kristen and I were talking while she was doing my hair and she started freaking out looking at her phone.
"What is it!!?" I asked.
"There is a contest to tour with bvb and Juliet Simms, and the Tour starts on your birthday!!!" She yelled.
"So?"
"We should sign up for it!!"
"I'm not sure, kris."
"Come on it'll be lit!"
"I'll think about it."
"Okay, I'll get out of your hair since it's done so put your pretty dress for the first scene." She said and I did, grandpa and grams sat in the audience and I looked for mom and dad but I couldn't see them.
"Maybe they aren't here yet." I said going back behind the stage.
"Places everyone!"

The play was amazing I felt like I did good and it was amazing.
When the play was over I was looking for mom and dad, I couldn't find them.
"Hey guys, have you seen M and D?" I asked.
"Oh, sweetheart they couldn't come I'm so sorry."
"Oh, okay.... Um, it's fine I guess." I said walking away.
I pulled out my iPhone 6+ and went to the website for the contest and signed up.
I hope I win. I need to see my mom and dad in person.
I went home and opened up my laptop.

I opened skype and called them.
I was praying that they would answer.
And they did.

"Hey Renee!" Mom said.
"Hi mom, where's dad?" I asked.
"Oh he's sleeping already, I can wake him."
"No it's fine, the play did well tonight. Wish you could have been there."
"Oh yeah, grandma sent me a video. You look so beautiful!"
"Thanks, so do you."
"Thanks. So how's school? Friends? Looking forward to summer?"
"Fine, friends are fine one of them are huge fan of you and dad and yes I'm looking forward to summer." I smiled, I was looking forward cause I could hangout with my parents.
"Well that's good well you should go to bed."
"Okay, goodnight tell dad I love him and I love you too."
"Goodnight love you!" She said hanging up.
I put on my basket ball shorts and tee-shirt and went to bed.
