For the rest of the week, Erik kept staring at me in class, but I just ignored it. He looks pissed that I blew him off but I don't care.
The weekend seemed to fly by, and soon enough it was Monday. Ryan is in my History class, and this week we're working on projects with a partner. I spent the weekend praying to God that Ryan and I wouldn't get paired up.
I slept through my alarm and didn't have time for a shower, so just threw on some sweatpants and an old band t-shirt and ran out the door.

My morning classes flew by, and before I knew it, it was lunch. I sat at a table in the corner away from everyone else and just listened to music. I don't eat lunch.
I was there for about five minutes before I felt someone standing behind me. I turned around to see all five of them standing there, with everyone else staring.
"You're at our table," Chase said coldly.
"So, find a different one," I replied, putting my headphones back in. I felt someone tap me on the shoulder, so I turned back around.
"Better move Kacey. It's not going to be pretty if you don't," Erik said with a smirk on his face.
"I'm not moving. Either sit at the other side of the table or find somewhere else. I don't give a fuck who you are. I'm not terrified of you like everyone else is." Erik had a look on his face, almost like he was impressed with me. Everyone else just looked pissed. They ended up sitting on the other side of the table, all huddled together.
After lunch was History. I'm sure Ryan was pissed I wouldn't move, and I'm sure he'll say something about it too. I sit down at my desk and he walks in right after me with Chase following behind him.
Of course, Ryan chooses to sit next to me. What the hell is it with these guys? They're weirdly obsessed with me for no reason and it's starting to piss me off.
Chase sits on my desk, and I just glare up at him. He smirks and focuses his attention back to Ryan. I wait a minute before pushing him off, and he falls onto the floor.
"What the fuck was that for?" he yells as he stands up.
"Don't sit on my desk. I don't know what the fuck your guys' problem is or why you're all so obsessed with me, but leave me the fuck alone." Chase scoffed and walked out of the room. He's not even in this class so I don't know why he was here.
"Good morning, class!" our teacher greets us as she walks into the room. "As you are all aware, we will be working on projects this week, and I've paired you each up with someone in the room." She began reading down her list until she got almost to the very bottom. My heart stopped.
"Kacey and Ryan."
You've got to be fucking kidding me.
Once she was done reading down the list of partners, we were told to figure out what we would be researching and get contact information if we didn't already have it. Everyone got up to sit with their partners. I just sat there.
"Hey there, partner," Ryan said turning towards me. I just looked at him.
"What're we going to do?" I ask.
"I don't care," he replied, staring at his phone.
"When are we going to do it?"
"I don't know."
Getting pissed off, I snatched his phone out of his hands and threw it in my bag.
"What the fuck, Kacey!"
"Stop being a dick so we can figure this shit out."
"We work on it in school only. We split the work in half. The Great Depression is our topic. Now give me my fucking phone."
