Chapter 1

My name is Amanda Hunt, and I am an astronaut. I have never been on a real mission and the only reason I became an astronaut was to make my family proud. I have always been a smart kid and learned rocket science. Plus my mom was sick and i need money to pay for her treatment. 

That's all in the past ,I am talking about the present. I was ordered to go up to my boss to talk about something. I didn't know what I was kinda scared. This may surprise you but I don't stand out if I had one word to describe myself it would be plain even though I am an astronaut. I have just been doing it my whole life it's a habit now. I have no possible clue why the boss would want to talk to me.

 I reached the office and knocked. 

A voice said come in and I was surprised. Now, I had never seen the boss and it was not at all what I imagined. Is it bad that I always imagined the big boss was a guy? I guess there isn't a lot of examples of a strong female leading in both real life and in movies.Not saying that women can't do that seeing that I am one. 

Normally I was shy, but in front of the boss it seemed like I didn't have a voice, like I was staring at the face of a fire breathing dragon. I hoped that my feelings did not show because I would look ridiculous, I guess they did. 

The Boss had honey colored hair and deep blue eyes. She had a tight figure and was fitted in a black skirt with a suit jacket over a plain white blouse. 

I tried to talk but it came out tinier than a whisper. She looked at me with cold eyes. I felt my blood run cold. She then spoke with a calm voice.

" Amanda, you have done wonderful but I feel like you can be so much more. You have been recruited to a special mission. A group of Astronauts are going on a mission to a new galaxy, my problem is that they are pretty much all how do i say it ... limited. What they need is something that will push them, and you are perfect for the job. I am not taking no for an answer now I will ask my assistant to bring you to your room in the housing area where your group is located do worry about your things to it is all taken care off"

And with that i was whisked away but an unfamiliar face to a place where I knew nothing about.
