Second Choice

Elizabeth's Pov

"Hey Princess~!" Ban gave me a grin and proceeded to crush me with a hug. 

"Still calling me that?" I asked, laughing. "Of course~" 

"That's how Meliodas described you before~" He told me, making me blush. 

"Hey Ban, Has Meliodas been talking about me?" I suddenly asked, Thinking about what Zeldris was telling me.

"Hmm.. Yeah! He's been saying your name a lot. Why?" He looked at me, "Did anything happen?" 

"It seemed like he doesn't remember me, did he hit his head yesterday or something?" I asked, he looked up, thinking.

"Nope, he didn't hit his head at all. That's weird~", "This is getting confusing." I groaned, hitting my head on the table.

"I heard the sound of distress?" Someone asked, sounding sleepy.

"Hey King" Diane greeted, I looked up and saw him waving at us. His eyes landed on me and his eyes went wide. "Elizabeth? Is that you?" 

"Did you see Meliodas already?" He asked, I nodded and he sat down next to Diane.

"But not a good out come." Diane sighed, King gave her a questioning look.

"He doesn't remember her~" Ban shrugged, King furrowed his brows.  "I don't have horrible memory, and I know that he was talking about you a day ago."

"Okay, why is everyone telling me that he's talking about me when I saw him earlier today and he didn't even know who I was?" I asked, frustrated.

"Its because he really was~" Ban answered, I looked down at the floor, loosing my appetite. 

The bell rang and we had to go back to class again, we stood up and I followed Diane to our classroom.

Our next class was Music and Drama, our Teacher was Gowther. A man with dark hair and was wearing glasses. He was interesting, guess that's why he was the teacher.

"Okay class! Let us embark on our journey of Drama and music!" He was wearing a pirate costume which made some of us, including me snicker in our seats.

"For today, I would like each of you to have a partner and song a particular song." Gowther smiled, Ban rose his hand.

"Yes Ban?"

"Can I do a solo~"

"And why?" Gowther asked, Ban shrugged.

"Alright, and since Ban was the first one to make a request like that. All of you are going to suffer and have a partner on the opposite gender." Everyone groaned, but it died down after 5 minutes of whining. I looked around to look for a partner, I saw no one.

"Great, I'll be alone." I mumbled to myself, Diane was obviously with King who fainted but then came back to life.

"You can pick now." Gowther announced and the students started standing up and poking their partners.

To my surprise, someone poked me. I looked to my left and saw Meliodas.

"Elizabeth, right? Wanna be partners?" My face must've been a pink color but I nodded, he gave me a grin and I smiled.

His grin was like still before, it made me feel butterflies.

He took a chair and sat next to me, I looked over to Ban, Diane and King who were giving me thumbs ups.

I looked back to Meliodas who was looking at my notebook with weird doodles of them.

"Sweet doodles." He smiled, I smiled back. "Thanks."

"By the way, why'd you pick me as a partner?" I asked, not being greedy of a compliment of anything. I just wanted to know.

"Well, my girlfriend isn't in this class. So, I just picked you out of curiosity. Also because her name is like yours. She just has a nickname." He shrugged, it felt like everything just froze. 

"The song you will be singing is Still The One by One Direction. I don't care if you hate 1D and you refuse to sing it." As much as I wanted to fan girl, something was still on my mind.

I was a second choice.
