Chapter 1:

I sat at home and looked into the air, tears rolling down my face as I felt like I would die of suffocation if I didn't get out of here. Yeah, I'd everything and people would love to have a life like mine but it gets suffocating when I'm locked in here with everything available at my single order.
"Ouch!" I cried as I got hit by something and was brought out of my deep thoughts. It was only a paper ball.
"Lassie!" I heard someone call me. I looked outside of my window to see who was murmuring.
"Josh? What are you doing there?" I asked, panic in my voice.
I met Josh when I went out-ran away from this cage 2-3times. We became friends and he helped me explore the city I 'grew up' in but never really knew it.
"Let's go!" He whispered.
"Now?"
"Yeah, was thinking if you'd hang out with me?" He asked scratching his head with a cute smile on his face. The thing is I liked him more than a friend. I know it was weird to like someone who I'd met only a couple of times but that was enough as he taught me live life king sized and enjoy it.
"Is it a date?" I asked, hoping it was. He smiled my favorite smile, making my heart flutter.
"Yes!" He said, pulling me out of the window.
"Where are we going?"
"We've no time to waste in answering the questions, so let's go now!" He pulled with him saying this, making me laugh.
He drove us to some park and parked the car aside. We walked inside and as the evening breeze made me feel a little cold, he pulled me closer and rubbed his warm hand around my arms. We walked hand in hand and talked about me, about him, about our lives.
He was an artist-a struggling one at that. He left his parents house because they couldn't understand his love for arts and he couldn't give up on it. He lived alone at a friend's rented apartment and sold his paintings at places that were crowded and on special occasions to earn his bread and butter.
We walked through the woods and through small lane towards the lake.
"Please sit down here and do not move until I say!" He said. I obeyed him and watched him run away to a side. He took out all his materials and started to make a sketch. I looked farway towards the lake, there was a couple who was kissing as the boat moved towards the other end. There was a bird that was just about to take a flight. Some balloons flew up in the sky as a kid cried for them standing at the other end. His sister was enjoying her ice cream as their parents took them on a ride. This was life worth living, simple yet so enjoyable. I was really lost in that world when I heard Josh's voice.
"And this is almost done!"
"Let me see now!" And he turned it around for me to see it. I was awestruck. It really was me. No, not in terms of resemblance but who I really was- lonely, lost, in search of something, empty. He caught the real me and brought them out through his painting. He was a brilliant observer.
"It's beautiful!" I said with tears in my eyes and hugged him. He was shocked but hugged me back.
He then took my hand and pulled me away from there. Next, we took a ride on the boat. He caught my hand so tenderly like I would break and vainsh.
He sat close to me and wrapped his arm around me. I laid my head on his shoulder and took a deep breath, enjoying the warmth that he provided. I looked at the bird who sat at the edge of the boat when he took out his cell phone and captured the moment. I smiled at him as he blew me a kiss for the first time.
The ride was soon over and we walked towards the game zone where we played several games. He looked at me intently at this while. I ignored it while I was busy enjoying those games.
"Ice-cream!" I said happily on seeing the stall. He laughed at my excitement and we went there to get us some. We bought it and then walked towards the child's play area where the children happily swinged and slipped through the swings and slides. There were several other rides too.
"What were you thinking while you were staring at me?" I asked him as he came back after playing football with a few children there. He gave me a look which said that he was about to deny that but I raised my eyes challenging him to try and deny that. He sighed.
"I was thinking how innocent you are, how lost and lonely you are. How richness didn't spoil you, how you enjoy small things in life and how this so called date didn't make you feel disgusted. You came into my life just a few days back and yet you accept me the way even my parents couldn't. I was thinking how delicate you are with so much hidden in you that only I could see. I'm thinking about the way you hugged me, how our hands fit so well. I was dreaming about holding it forever and never letting it go for we together have so much to explore in this world. I want you to live it all, like never before!" He stated, making me fall for him. I jumped up into his arms and kissed him deeply, shocking him.
"I love you Josh!" I said.
"I love you too Lassie!"
He kissed me back this time with so much passion and love. And it was perfect!
