"Mommy?" I rubbed my eyes tiredly walking into the hallway.
I perked up excitedly hearing quiet talking amongst my parents.

The sun room lit the hallway up at the end of the hall. Pictures of my mom and dad hung on the wall, a baby photo of me, and a family photo.
I got closer to the sun room and heard mommy.

"I know what your saying , i do. But two weeks is a long time to be away from our child."

Father let out a annoyed sigh that made me nervous. " Ruka.. the hokage gave you the choice when you were pregnant. You choose to still be a Shinobi, you could of been a civilian."

Sharp scraping of metal replaced the silence.

I peered inside and seen my mother looking at her hands and my father sharpening knives.

My mother picked up a scroll from the table, Both unaware I was watching them.

"Our mission, two weeks tops, is to go stop a drug trade on the boarder. No survivors." Father nodded not looking up from his kunai.
"Suki."
My little heart jumped and I went into the hallway.
"Sweetheart come here" my mother's tone was sad, but much softer then my dads.

I dragged my feet into the sun room guilty . My mother picked me up and set me on her lap. I played in her blonde hair twirling it and twisting it between my fingers.

"Where are you going mommy" i looked up at her innocently.

She stared down with sadness. My father let out another annoyed sigh. "We will be back before you know it suki. You'll be staying with the babysitter at the academy. " My father said. "And you better behave yourself."

I woke up in cold sweat moving the hair from my damp forehead. It's been a long time since I had these flash back dreams. I used to get them alot, when my parents first passed away. I stayed at the academy until I was old enough to care for myself, Back then I had them alot. Being a Shinobi was a gamble I wasn't the only kid whose parents didn't return from a mission. Some of the children who had that unlucky fate got sent to the orphanage, i was lucky and got to stay at the academ due to my parent's knowing the people who took care of the children while the Shinobis were on missions.

I swang my legs over the side of the bed and stood up, the hard wood floor was cold. I stretched and yawned loudly, walking out of my room.

The hallway was lit up and I heard mumbling in the sun room. My heart fluttered in my chest, I could hear it beating. I slowly walked deeper and stopped near the door the mumbling stopped. Turning into the sun room I realised It was empty, i felt like I was going to throw up from the anxiety.

On the table in front of the couch was a dusty old knife sharpener the one in my dream, picking it up and turning it in my hand studying it. I wanted to know about my family, i wanted to know about the kekkei genkai I could possibly have. I set the sharpener down in the exact place it was in.

After my shower I put my ninja clothes on, black pants, fishnet shirt and a black shirt over the fishnet. I brushed my damp hair leaving it down it touched the middle of my back.
I didn't bother to say goodbye to Mushi. I locked the door behind me and walked into the busy street. People laughed, walked fast trying to get to there destination, and went into shops.

A little girl held her father's hand and passed by. For a minute is remembered the kind of relationship I had with my father, he was a kind man but at the same time he had his flaws.
