The Dusk before Dawn

The Beginning

Nightshade was only seconds away from being born, Her father, Shadeshell, walked up. "Moonlilly" he said, "There is an attack, we need all wolves." "But Shadeshell, I am giving birth!" Moonlilly said, "We need to hurry!" He said. Foxes (foxes are from dawnpack, dawnpack is duskpack's rival) started barging in, Nightshade was just born and was hidden in some of the bushes. Moonlilly quickly told her other daughter to run out of the 'bootcamp' grabbing Nightshade and find a place where she could be safe and raise nightshade. Midnight (moonlilly's other daughter) found a abandoned den, She took it as her own. Midnight went back to bootcamp when the new alpha found her. Nightshade followed Midnight over to bootcamp and got lost while Midnight was walking back thinking Nightshade was still at her temporary den. One week later Nightshade could see, talk, and could walk normally, she walked up to two older pups (3-5 month old pups) one was named Water, the other Mist, and said "h-he-Hello?" The older pups glanced at her and ignored her. She walked up the soft ground leading to outside, passing the dens as she goes, elder, beta, alpha- she was stopped at alpha when two guards were standing in front of alpha's den. "Stop." The eldest guard said, " we are not letting you go any farther." The eldest guard said. He actually was just talking to a wolf that he saw doing some bad things, ANYWAY, Nightshade saw what was going on and walked right by the guards, up she went, pups and couples, hunters, sentinels, medic, finally outside, she walked outside of the bootcamp territory, she found a tunnel that led to dawnpack territory (and the bootcamp). She was curious and walked into the tunnel, down down down, back up, up, up, she arrived just outside the dawnpack territory, she saw a young fox two months older than her "w-who are you?" She said, " you look strange." The fox said, "so do you" she said. "What's your name?" The fox said "I'm-" Nightshade looked at her paw "I'm- I'm Nightshade?" She said "I'm Sunpaw" Sunpaw said (the fox) they circled each other curiously. They looked at each others tails, facial features, etc. they started playing together, they walked up A hill and sat next to a tree. "Today was awesome" he said, "yeah" she said "if only we could stay together forever." Nightshade said. "I have to go back..." Sunpaw said, "ok" Nightshade said. Sunpaw walked into his pack's territory and Nightshade went back into the tunnel and out the other side. It was a glorious morning when Nightshade woke up, the birds were chirping, the grass was the most beautiful shade of green, the skies were clear, there was only one thing missing... Her buddy (Sunpaw). She went back to the tunnel coming up from the nursery over to the medic, and finally outside. She walked out of the territory and into the tunnel. When she was out of the tunnel she didn't see Sunpaw, so she decided to go up to the hill, next to the tree. He was there waiting for her. She got up the hill and she saw him "Yay! Your here!" She said walking up to him "I've been here waiting for you!" He said *wink* Nightshade lied down next to Sunpaw (don't judge my writing skillz I'm 10 XD) "Wanna go learn how to hunt with me and my mom?" He said "sure!" Nightshade said, "I told my mom to come up here to teach us, we just have to wait" he said. A few minuets later Sunpaw's mom, Goldeen, walked up and looked at Nightshade "Is this your friend?" Goldeen said "yep" Sunpaw said. Goldeen confused Nightshade with a fox because of her legs are all dark grey, but she didn't notice her tail. So they went off and started hunting birds (they are the easiest)(and the bad part is it's still morning and the birds are still chirping XD) after hunting, they went back to the hill and Started eating the birds and Goldeen brung most of them back to the food pile (in dawnpack bootcamp) it was 12:00 p.m. And they lied down together next to the tree, and they're tail's locked together. Nightshade rested her head on Sunpaw. They slept until sunset, Nightshade was still asleep and Sunpaw groomed her slightly and left her to sleep and went back to bootcamp. Nightshade woke up the next day in the morining when it was still dark and sat there and waited for Sunpaw. Sunpaw returned to her a little after sunrise and nuzzled her and they did the same exact thing until they were preteens (I mean like how a 13 year old boy would be a preteen). Nightshade woke up at 6:00 A.M. And waited until 8:00 when Sunpaw came back with breakfast for Nightshade (one deer, aaaannnndddddd.... That's it.) "I made you a blanket to remember me with, out of the deer's coat" He said "wait, remember you? What's wrong?" Nightshade said nervously "I-i might not be here tomorrow.... Or ever...." Sunpaw added "What is it????" Nightshade said "They are having a war... Between lawless and dawnpack" Sunpaw said. They started eating everything and set aside the bones for later. Sunpaw nuzzled Nightshade, "I love you" Sunpaw said "and I always will my love." Then Sunpaw kissed Nightshade (it's basically a dog licking a other dogs mouth XD) the lead hunter howled and Sunpaw ran to the lead hunter and they went off to fight with the lawless. Nightshade ran into the tunnel right before the exit closed. She ran back to her pack's bootcamp and hid inside. She almost walked off the edge right next to alpha's den she saw Water and Mist (I didn't make up the names lazily sorry) and walked up to them "hello again..." She said, Water and Mist just giggled and walked away. Nightshade walked back up and looked into the alpha's den....Midnight was the alpha. Nightshade walked in and glanced at her, midnight glanced back, "Sister?" They both said running to eachother and greeting eachother "I've missed you!" Said midnight "me too!" Said Nightshade "where did you go?" Midnight said " I have met the most amazing fox-" Nightshade said interrupted "FOX?!?! You could land in the prison, or be omega for that! nightshade are you crazy?!" Midnight said "what's wrong? Why can't i be friends with a fox?" Nightshade asked. "It's against the rules! Dawn has foxes, dusk has wolves they are not meant to, cross paths?" Midnight explained. Nightshade walked away with a slight growl noise, she went out to see if the war was over and it was. She went through the tunnel (she had to dig to get out of the tunnel) and and back out and sat next to the tree waiting impatiently for Sunpaw. a hour later Sunpaw was still bleeding and limped up the hill and passed out next to Nightshade and she freaked out, and she ran down and grabbed some herbs and went back up (she is a medic at her camp) and she dabbed some white flowers to clean up some blood and then she took some merrigolds and made some sort of bandage using the petals and some sticky stuff she found and bandaged him up, and used a needle she found and some cobwebs and used it as a needle and thread (the needle isn't a real one, just a wood chipping or something like that XD) and sowed up a large cut he had on his belly (sort of on the side) and then she gave him some mIRACLE HERB (the one that everyone hates that is a Miracle. YOU KNOW THE ONE.) and she waited for three days until he woke up. "A-Are you alive?" Nightshade said curiously. Sunpaw got up and was shaking went he went up, so they decided to stay upon the hill. Nightshade went out to find some food and caught a rabbit and went back. Sunpaw was trying to walk when Nightshade walked up the hill. "N-No no! Don't try to walk now!" She said, Sunpaw fell on the ground right when she said that and they both had a laugh. They ripped apart the dead rabbit and ate, They fell asleep together, curled up next to one another~ ANYWAY, the next morning Sunpaw woke up and felt refreshed. Nightshade was still asleep and he got up Cautiously and he could walk! Hooray! So anyway, he went out to get some food for Nightshade and himself. He caught a wild turkey and found a diamond and thought it was almost as beautiful as Nightshade And brung both the turkey and diamond back. Nightshade was still asleep but when Sunpaw put down the turkey and hid the diamond and tapped his soft wet nose on her she woke up and smiled (it was a pretty cute dog smile XD they can smile when they feel guilty... Sometimes.) "You got breakfast?" She said tiredly, "I did" Sunpaw said. Nightshade giggled and Got up and ate the turkey with him. Sunpaw decided to still hide the diamond until they were older (like in a month, dogs age fast XD) "Remember that talk we had a few days ago?" Nightshade said laying her head on him, Sunpaw's face went red and ran over some mountains at 70 miles per hour, a few hours later he came back, panting like crazy, and found a pond and made awkward dog drinking noises for 12 minutes, and then went back up the hill again, Nightshade was still laughing when he came back. "You looked like you were running a marathon!" Nightshade somehow laughed out, Sunpaw got angry and rolled her off the hill, his mistake was, he was going down with her! They both toppled down the hill and Nightshade started laughing again and then Sunpaw started laughing and they laughed together and went back up the hill. It was around 1:00 p.m. When they got back up, they both looked at eachother and saw a tunnel (a different one) and they ran down the hill right in front of the tunnel. "Ladies first!" Sunpaw said jokingly, "HA!" Nightshade said, pushing him in the tunnel. They both giggled and snickered and then they finally went down to see a magical place, it had a beautiful pond and the whole place was beautiful! It was pretty smol, but it was enough for two wolves. It was pitch black until Sunpaw Tripped on a Glowing blue flower (it looked more purple though) and they all lit up, giving everything a beautiful purple tint(?) and the lighting was romantic and everything. They played around and practiced their fighting skills on eachother. They had fun together. There was another exit to the magical place so they went up it and it was near Duskpack's area (I SAID NEAR) just like how on the other end it was near Dawn's. "O-K- we need to head back" Nightshade said nervously. There was some hunters training about 20-30 feet away from them. She rushed Sunpaw back In the tunnel when the Hunters in training walked by. Nightshade was trying to act cool like she wasn't with Sunpaw. (Sunpaw was behind her in the tunnel walking down) "Hi nightshade" some of the hunters said "oh- uh- hi" Nightshade said nervously. "What's wrong" one of them said. "Oh- uh nothing" Nightshade said. "Stop the chit chat." The leader said, they all walked away. Nightshade Ran into the tunnel right when they stopped noticing her. She caught up with Sunpaw  and they went back to the hill. It was evening so they got tired and went to sleep. There was two odd wolves one took nightshade the other took Sunpaw. Sunpaw got dragged away to a mountain and woken up and growled. The mysterious wolf growled back (both of the mysterious wolves were wearing cloaks with the hoods on) and knocked Sunpaw out, The other with Nightshade took her back to the Duskpack Bootcamp and lied her down in the sentinel den. A few hours later, it was morning and Nightshade woke up. She was confused and suprised because she was back at bootcamp. She decided to Go through the tunnel and to the hill. She waited all day. Waited and waited, she fell asleep and woke up the next day, she thought he was coming back with breakfast but no, he didn't appear. She waited and waited. Almost a month later (3rd week) he came. He didn't bring food or anything. He looked like a zombie, he mindlessly walked up to her, and growled. "S-Sunpaw?!" She said getting up and backing away slowly, he threw a attack at her and she ran through the tunnel leading back to her bootcamp. He mindlessly walked to his bootcamp "what now master?" He said mindlessly to the alpha of dawn. "You are free to go." The alpha said. Sunpaw snapped out of it and looked left and right "wAIT?? WHERE AM I?" Sunpaw said. "Your at bootcamp." Alpha said, "oH uh-- okay then" Sunpaw said, He ran out of bootcamp and to the hill he didn't see Nightshade so he decided to wait, he waited and waited for days. Nightshade was treating her scratch at the time. "Stupid fox." She said, "I knew he was going to be a traitor!" She whimpered a little. So, this time it was Sunpaw waiting.
