how do i begin?!?...
uhm...
college...
new chapter of my life...
new environment, new challenges...
to be honest, i had a rough and tough journey yet fulfilling and satisfying college years...
...and before i got into the accountancy program of my school, i have to dealt with maaaannnnnyyyyy obstacles!
ever since i was about 8 years old.... i dreamt of becoming a CPA - certified public accountant - even at that time, i really don't know what it is! i just knew of the profession from my cousin's aunt who works abroad.
but as i said, i encountered trials... i was not qualified in the accountancy program of my school, because i failed the required passing score... so i settled for another course - management...
yes, i had fun and gained friends and somehow loved the course for two years, but still, my passion for my dream profession of becoming a CPA will not be fulfilled if i am a management student...
so 2nd year summer, i went to our university EVERYDAY just to talk with the accountancy chairman and let me shift my course... i really prayed hard for it for a favorable response!
...and yes! my prayers are answered! even if i have to stay for three years (since i was left behind with the major subjects) still, i am excited and grateful! i am now in the right track!
...and really! after three grueling years - computation, memorization, problem solving... i did it! i graduated with honors!!! (God is really amazing!)
...of course, i have my ups and downs, particularly in my taxation class! i thought i will be kicked out of the accountancy program for i have failing marks... but still, i pushed myself to learn more, study more...
oh well, i also met my 'first' boyfriend when i shifted course! (hahaha! so it is a bonus, changing course is not bad at all!)
there... i kind of shared my personal story, hahah!
well, i just want to encourage accountancy students out there... never give up! and always remember to pray and acknowledge that God is the source of everything...
also, have a study habit, stick to it, solve many problems as possible, read and understand as many pages as you can, keep in your heart the very basics of accounting... you surely will not get lost when you enroll in the review and take the board exam...
my life verse during those days - i can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!
that's my accountancy story!
there are many twists and turns, but in the end you'll still be living your dream!
