Enigmatic Hunter (BoyxBoy)

First Phase

Naruto, along with most of the participates, didn't notice the look their examiner was giving the blond. Satotz quickly composed himself and looked over everyone once more before announcing their first phase.

"Just follow me to the second part of the first phase of the Hunter exam." everyone had a confident look on their face. "That's it?!" "This is going to be easy!" "Can't wait for my hunter license!" Naruto just yawned, waiting impatiently for things to be over.

I have to play hidden proctor, right old man? Naruto groaned at the idea of being forced into something but decided to go along since it has already started.

Naruto was simply speed walking and seemed to already be ahead halfway. Naruto decided to slow down so he stayed around the same spot and not go too far ahead.

After two hours of running a quarter of the participants had already given up as the proctor has not slowed down nor stopped for a break, not only that but Satotz hasn't broken into a sweat yet.

"That's not fair!" he heard someone yell out in anger. He looked behind and saw a sweating man in a suit with a briefcase yelling/complaining to a silver-haired kid using a skateboard.

Naruto couldn't help but slow down and join in on the conversation.

"He said to catch up with him, he didn't say how though." Naruto looked, getting a verbal agreement from a boy in green.

"He got you there!"Naruto laughed, pointing an accusing finger as the grouchy man.

"Who asked you?!

"Well you just did, but anyways my name is Uzumaki Naruto! What's your's?" the man in the suit looked at him with annoyed look, but answered anyways. "Leorio, and don't you forget it." was all he said before he continued on running.

"How old are you?" the white haired boy on the skateboard asked, looking at both of the other boys.

"12" said the green boy.

"Same" was all Naruto said. The silver boy looked at them with a thoughtful look before he got off his board in a show off the sort of way before he caught it and started running with them.

"Guess I'm running too. The names Killua."

"My names Gon, nice to meet you." the green boy said with a cheery smile.

"Just call me Naruto." he said with a similar smile one his face before they all continued running forward with no problem, except for Leorio.

The three heard a thump behind them and saw that a sweating Leorio had dropped his suitcase. He was a couple foot away from the suitcase before he stayed in one place, taking deep breaths.

"You okay there?" Naruto asked as they stopped. No answer.

"We should hurry up and catch up to the others. We can't fall behind." Killua said, not really caring about the man. Neither the black-haired boy nor the blond said anything, they just stared at Leorio. Killua gave up already when he saw the determined look on Gon's face, as if trying to send some message to Leorio silently.

"Screw this..." was what Leorio muttered before he continued on running. "I'm gonna become a hunter!"

They all watched as he ran before they all had smiles on their faces, proud of him.

Gon pulled out his fishing rod and used it to get the suitcase in one swing. Both Killua and Naruto were amazed as neither one had seen anyone use a fishing rod anything other than fishing. Gon caught it as it came to their direction, before they all turned back around and continued on running.
