*Jerome's POV*

We had finished the tickle war.  Mitch had won.  I knew that due to the fact he was currently sat on top of me, legs either side of me.  I was glad that my face was already red from laughing so he couldn't see the blush that was creeping its way slowly across my face.

I looked up into his golden eyes.  He was already looking into mine.  We sat there for what felt like minutes, but it wasn't even a second.  Then he slowly began to bring his face down to mine.  I started to pull up closing the distance faster.

Just as our noses drew level the doorbell rang.  We jumped apart as if we had been caught.  Mitch went to answer the door.  I just lied on the sofa, not wanting to look at Mitch just yet.

"Jerome, pizza's here" Mitch yelled shutting the door.  I didn't trust myself to speak just yet so I just looked up at him and nodded, hoping I looked calm because in reality on the inside I was freaking out.

Mitch had almost kissed me!  I was sure of it.  If the pizza guy hadn't rung the doorbell I was sure my dream would have come true.  I would have been kissing Mitch's perfect cherry lips.

Does this mean he likes me?

I thought.

Or was it just a 'heat of the moment' kinda kiss?

If it was the second I'm sure he would have regretted it instantly.  I would now never know which option it was.

Mitch then walked in with the pizza box, a steaming meat feast pizza sat inside.  It was only when I saw the pizza and my stomach started grumbling that I realized how truly hungry I was.

As soon as Mitch set the box down I grabbed the slice and began to eat.  Mitch raised an eyebrow at me.

"What?" I said with a mouth full of pizza. "I'm hungry" Mitch just rolled his eyes, laughed, grabbed a piece and began to eat it, a bit more delicate than me.

I couldn't help but stare at him.  He look gorgeous.  His chocolate brown hair fell slightly over his eyes, his golden eyes twinkled constantly like he was always happy.  His skin was just breathtaking.  He had a perfect complexion, not one blemish everywhere, the skin I had always wanted.  My eyes moved to his perfect mouth as it chewed the pizza.  I just wanted to run up to him and kiss he full on the lips.  

But I couldn't

He looked up from his pizza and caught me staring.  He blushed and tried to hide it by looking away.  I don't think he knows that I saw the hint of red on his perfect cheeks.

*Mitch's POV*

Why had I almost kissed Jerome? That could have ruined our whole friendship.  Plus I didn't like him.  Did I?  Yes, I had been thinking about him a lot this past month, but not because of love right? Surly it must have been because he was moving in with me.

I decided I needed to talk to my best friend, after Jerome of course, Ty.

"J-Jerome?" Oh god.  Why was I stuttering? "I'm kinda tired, I'm gonna go to bed.  See you in the morning?"

"Yeah that's fine Mitch, cya"

I put my half eaten pizza slice back into the box and went to my room.  I locked the door and went straight to my computer.  I switched it on and went to Skype.
