I awoke one morning to find in me confusion,

Certainly not an average problem or illusion.

But instead something unique, and quite frankly numbing,

as I witnessed in me something terrible that was coming.

A source of evil, or maybe a sin?

All I knew for sure was that it brought a wicked grin.

Twas a portal to strange and queer lands,

that only brought me to my knees to stare at my hands.

Was this a vision? Or maybe the past?

Either way, it hit me hard fast.

I lay on the floor in deep writhing pain,

for my eyes to only see my loses, and not one single gain.

But where is my love? Surely she must be unharmed.

However her location unknown, I assume she unalarmed.

Am I to stay trapped in this void?

A forgotten man, lost to the ages, his name faded, Lloyd.

Then it struck me, was this my nightmare from the past?

The dream that twas my last!

Is this my Vertigo...

If it is, oh no....
