The sun shines bright hitting me in my eyes making me squint at the brown buildings in front of me.

"Hanna come on I want to go to the bakers before they close" I feel my younger brother Jonethen tug on my arm I give him a smile and nod my head and follow him down the gravel path of are town.

This place isn't much but it does have a baker and a market that comes to town every summer to trade and sell we don't really get a lot of travelers threw here but the ones that do is mostly just passing threw its sad really but you get used to it after a while.

I mean Most of are shops was closed off and abandoned some from not bringing in enough money to pay there tax's and others move on to bigger towns, are town looks abandoned until you make it to the center of the town where most of the shops are for clothing and weapons and some stalls to buy fresh food.

I am surprised the baker hasn't moved on to the center of the town yet but I think it is because its closer to his cottage witch like are is on the outskirts of town he likes to call it the poor side of town witch is true the closer to the middle of town the more expensive everything is.

"Come on there going to close" Jonethen pulls me out of my thought and I look up to see the brown brick building of Goerges bakery in front of us Goerge is a plump man with fire red hair and a great long beard that reaches his waist I look over to my brother to see his blue eyes sparkling with the thought of getting a hold of there sweet honey glazed bread Jonethen starts to jump up and down making his brown hair bounce up and down on his head I let out a laugh and grab his hand and let him drag me inside.

He lets go of my hand and starts running up to the cashier I follow shortly behind him staring at the dull brown walls of the shop and the rakes that has all kinds of  baked goods on them, I have enough for two honey glazed bread mother got payed extra from the Widows Inn last night and gave me and Jonethen four silver coins each and knowing Jonethen he probably wants to save his for tomorrow when the market opens signaling the start of the summer.

Oh how I love the summer getting to walk to the lake just out side of town and go swimming and I will also have to keep an eye out for Jonethen a birthday present he will be turning eleven this summer.

"Hello Jonethen and Hanna how may I help you on this fine day" I hear Barbra Goeges wife whom looks like she is going to pop any second she is pregnant with her second child her first one is a boy with red curly hair like his dad but has his mother brown eyes his name is Chris and is my best friend speaking of I wonder where he is probably off pulling a prank on someone, I give Barbra a smile "Hello Barbra" I say and give her a small wave.

"Two honey glazed sweet bread please" I tell her stepping next to my brother she gives us a smile with a nod she pushes her blond hair back off of her shoulders and turns around to one of the rakes and grabs two sweet bread.

"Here you go careful they are hot just came out of the oven not long ago" she raps them in some paper and rings us up I pull out my little red sack that holds my money out of my hidden skirt pocket and grab three silver coins to pay her.

"Hows your ma doing I heard that the Inn is starting to pick up from the market coming into town getting ready for the summer to start she must be working her heels off" her dark brown eyes turns to me in question I nod my head at her.

"Yeah the pace is starting to pick up she has been working longer shifts and comes home dog tired but she is supposed to get a day off tomorrow thank goodness, but me and Jonethen is going to head over to the Inn now to see her so we will see you later" I giver her another smile and drag my brother out of the shop with a final wave of goodbye to her as we exit the shop.
