CHAPTER 3:
In the 4 hour we had been waiting we'd had moved like a meter. The X factor process was so slow,I was so worried for Niall,what would happen if they say no? It'd crush his confidence...then again what if they said yeah? He could be the next global sensation;probably not.
What if he becomes famous, and doesn't want me any more. but lets not worry myself about consequences that will probably never happen , I'm so happy that he is doing this, he will do amazing and I can feel it; what if he only gets through with one yes? Or doesn't even get one yes? Hopefully it will be okay because I really want this for him....he deserves it.
*2 hours of waiting and over thinking later*
There we were,Niall was about to take his first steps onto a real life stage for the first time,I could see his eyes beginning to tear up,I knew how terrified he was.
"NEXT" Simon Cowell called in a very aggressive voice,he obviously didn't sound to impressed with the past contestants; this made me even more nervous for Niall. I took a deep breath.
"So what's your name and where are you from" Louis Walsh asked whilst smiling.
"N N N Niall,from Mullingar,Ireland" Niall stuttered back to Louis.
"Ok,Niall I can see you're a little nervous just relax,take a deep breath and off you go"
Niall looked back at me and gave me the thumbs up,I smiled and gestured I love you back to him,he smiled as the backing track to 'So Sick" by Neyo began to play.
As soon as Niall began to sing everyone began to cheer and even the judges began to smile. I smiled. He suddenly became more relaxed and let everyone listen to his angelic voice echo around the whole arena. He sounded great,better than great. He sounded amazing...I was so proud of him! Simon gestured for Niall to stop before the end of the song and I suddenly saw Niall become 10 times more nervous than before.
"Well,Niall. You're defiantly different" said Cheryl Cole.
GOOD DIFFERENT? What did she mean "different"?...
"Yes,defiantly Cheryl. Very unique voice,I like you Niall,it was a very nice song choice and with a bit of extra vocal coaching I think you could be great." butted in Louis.
"Should we vote? Asked Simon.
"IT'S A 100% YES FROM ME" said Cheryl.
Niall's face suddenly lit up.
"YES!!!" said Louis.
"Niall,you are a talented singer,but are you really right for this show? As Louis said,I think you would be great with a little extra vocal coaching...but I do believe you are very different and unique so I'm going to say...yes!"
NIALL RAN OFF STAGE AND GAVE ME A MASSIVE HUG.
He was so happy. On the way home sung carelessly to the radio, i decided i would just join in,even though my voice was terrible compared to his angelic treasure. I loved how content he was,with that cheeky grin on his face,I was SUCH a proud girlfriend.
"So to end this perfect day, how about a trip to nandos?" Niall asked me,was this a rhetorical question or what? I LOVED NANDOS SO THE ANSWER WAS AN OBVIOUS YES! so we climbed out of the car,and entered nandos, It was an amazing day,the dinner was so cute,Niall was a real gentleman...I loved it. We spent about 2 hours in nandos when we decided we had to head back home, it was so frustrating knowing that we couldn't tell anyone other than family on Niall's success today, i just wanted to scream it out and put it all over the media; just for my boy,I was just so excited for what was to come...
we had already told Niall's family all about X factor when we rang them earlier, they were extremely gobsmacked ! i wasn't surprised at all,i knew he could do it!
"SURPRISE" everyone shouted as we entered Niall's house in Mullingar.
