Chapter two: Not ready
"You and your pack will be able to stay here and if you do my family will offer our service of protection, but if you do stay my family and I will need to meet with your Alpha and talk with him to make sure we know of everything about these rogues."
Surprise fluttered across their expression as they stared at me with awe and the boy was quick enough to except the deal. "Alpha Cross has agreed with this and wishes to talk to you and your family this evening."
I waited for anyone to complain ready to decline but instead I heard silence. For once everyone seem to agree with this and so I happily took in the agreement knowing in the future this pack could become an asset if needed. "That is fine with my family."
That's how it worked with us Fallen. We help you and in order you for our service we are repaid not in money but in favors. But now as these thoughts flickered through my head I realized they weren't asking for our help but instead I offered to fight for them and help. This wasn't a big surprise because we did a duty of protecting the innocent, even though it technically wasn't our job.
"We appreciate this." As the boy spoke I could tell he was filled with gratitude and that's when it proved to me I was doing a thing my father would be proud of. Thoughts of my father flowed through my head and I knew I needed to leave before I decided to do something rash. "Miguel...gather information of where and when we will meet up with Alpha, Gwen and Daniel I want you to leave and start gathering information on these rogues and Emmitt you can do whatever pleases you....and I'll be searching for our problem." With that I turned on my heal and ran through the forest not wanting to hear anything they said.
Alex may be the mother hen to us but I was the leader, the general that gave orders and fought on the front line in battle. I was the trainer and the warrior. In fact I was a warrior in heaven, named and born to be a fighter but it all faded when father didn't see me as the person he wanted. I became evil to him and with that I was thrown into the depths of the sky.
All of us, just children and he left us. We were thrown amongst his creations with no protection and no way of surviving. I was hurt and still even today going through years of suffering.

My wings folded into my skin as I landed down in a crouch. I knew the rogue was here, as I saw it while flying. Its fur was matted and soaked through with dirt. On the inside I just felt the word trespasser whisper through me making my shiver knowing my enemy was close by.
I turned in circles waiting for the rogue to notice my presence and I knew it would an after it did, it would only be minutes before it attacked. My movements became scarce and I let out a breath. I was ready to take down this beast. Everything I did slowed down as my warrior side flowed through my veins ready for a fight.
Finally I heard the growl and my arm had snapped up throwing a silver dagger straight towards the mutt. I heard it whip around through the air before me and saw the giant wolf doge it at the last minute. This came a surprise to me and caused me to pause for a second. But in reality that was all the beast needed before he was in front of me ripping into my leg.
I let out a small scream as the animal tore out a chunk of leg, making me fall to my knees, but I wasn't done. My arm whipped out and stabbed the wild beast in the side as it let out a howl of its own. Quickly before he could get a chance to make a move I shakily stood up and threw a punch at the animals snout. It grunted as its head flew to the left. I went to walk towards it but fell forwards as I couldn't move with my leg like this.
Before I could make another move the beast started to transform and once it was done I was bestowed the sight of a young man. He wore nothing but a smile that was deranged while his eyes were pitch black, letting me know his wolf was in control. "You Fallen think your so mighty." he told me before continuing when he realized I wasn't going to respond. "Well look at you now....kneeling before a wolf that in moments could take away your life."
