true story converted into a poem.
----------------------------------------------
It was just another day,
when the alarm broke the silence,
she realised with a wrenching heart,
full of disappointment,
she was still alive,
and just like any other day,
this one too, had to be endured.

She dressed herself with a smile and hope,
gulping down her fears for breakfast,
with crosses on fingers and shoe lace,
wishing her soul switched her body,
her mind switched her face,
cause it was getting harder day by day,

It had started all well,
but it didnt last long,
no sooner were the bullets fired,
those words,
just made it all float up like icebergs.

Once again she cuffed her wrists,
the right one with insecurity,
the left with inferiority,
she felt like vomiting her fear,
as a bile of anxiety rose up her throat,
she knew it was just one of those days,
when all she begged was for some time ,to change.
