Half Dead

Chapter 1 - A Blink Of An Eye

Morning shines as the birds chirped. Everything was cheerful. Miko ran down the stairs of white and towards the dining table. Breakfast was served on the table. It looked delicious.

"What's for breakfast today mother?" Miko asked
"Scrambled eggs" Miko's mother replied

There were thumps by the stairs. It was Miko's uncle, Hache-hi but people calls him Hach.He is a tall , black haired man for some reason he keeps wearing foggy glasses that even Miko doesn't know what eye colour he has . He's a very quite person and talks rarely. Whenever he speaks, people becomes calm. It was his speciality.

"Mom is cooking eggs!?" Said a high pitched voice
"Technically it's already cooked, Kisaki" Miko said

"Whatever" Kisaki grunted

Kisaki was Miko's little sister.She had long straight brown hair, dark brown eye colour. She was the spoiled little sister. Even if she was mad at her sister for something, she will always come back and forgive her.

"Miko, why don't you serve tea" Miko's mother said
"Alright mother" Miko said as she headed to the kitchen and starts making tea.

"Do I smell eggs?" A male voice said.

It was Miko's father, he was a black haired man like his brother. He had blue eyes and a nice smile.While Miko's mother had the same appearance as Kisaki.
Lastly, Miko herself is quite more unique than her family.She had blue eyes and purple hair with a stripe of white on her hair.

"Are we only going to talk about eggs?" Kisaki said, yawning.
"Nope! Guess what" Miko's father said with a smile on his face.
"What is it honey?" Miko's mother said.
"I got promoted!"
"WHAAAATT" Miko said while her hands hit the table which made the eggs flying in the air.
"Miko." Hach said without expression.

Miko sat down at her table and forgave for being rude. Miko's father said that they get to go shopping today since he got promoted. The family was excited well, maybe not Hach but the others were. But before they went shopping, Miko's parents had an urgent matter to attend to so Miko and Kisaki was left with their uncle at home.

"Miko" Hach called
"Y-yeah?" Miko stuttered
"Kisaki"

Hach didn't have to explain the situation Miko had already saw her little sister about to head outside by the corner of her eye.

"Kisaki!" Miko yelled
"Where are you going!?"
"No where, I saw something-" Kisaki's words were cut off by Miko
"Mom and dad said we had to stay inside!"
"But I saw some-"
"Inside!"

Kisaki closed the door and slowly walked back towards to Miko.

"Good"
"But Mikoo!!" Kisaki yelled.
"Whaat?"
"I saw something outside the window!"
"What?"
"They looked like half creatures too"

Suddenly, Hach came in the conversation.

"What do you mean?"
"I don't know they looked like us"
"Stay here" Hach said as he sprung outside, slamming the door behind him.

Miko and Kisaki were scared. Scared of what is happening outside. His uncle never had been this serious.Then there was a noise at the back. It was their parents. Miko and Kisaki rushed towards the door to the back garage but suddenly, BOOM.

The door exploded sending the two girls flying back and have them landing with a horrible crash.

"HeheheHahahaHAHAHAHA" A weird voice laughed maniacally.

It was a person. The person was wearing a mask and it was holding up both of the girls' parents.

"Why" Miko finally said a word after the horrible crash.

"Oh my, Regina. I didn't know you had a daughter"
"IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS-" Miko's mother's was shut by what it seems the masked man's henchman.

"Tsk, tsk ,tsk. You should have told me you didn't have a daughter but TWO!" The masked man laughed again.
"My, my. They would make a great follower. Maybe wife"
"YOU PEDOff-" Miko's father also was shut by henchmen too.

"HAHAHA. I'm just joking Richard! They do look pretty but are they strong? I mean look at this one" The masked man pulled up Kisaki.

"KISAKI!" Miko screamed
"LET HER GO!"

"Oh, of course darling. If you could show me what power you have to stop me. HAHAHA" The man laughed again.

Miko wanted to save her but she was tired. Scared. She couldn't save her. She couldn't even move. But then.

There was a crash.

"MIKO! KISAKI!"

It was their uncle. He wasn't human anymore. He was a wolf. He grabbed Miko by the neck and bump his head towards the masked man. The masked man was sent flying in the air. Hach picked up Kisaki and ran towards the front door.

"MOM!" Miko cried out
"Miko! Kisaki! We love you.."

Miko's parents were killed off by the henchmen.

"NO! PLEASE!" Miko screamed.

By a blink of an eye. Miko almost lost everything. Her home. Her parents. And her emotions.
