Finally, Friday was here. After my part time job at the mall, I just walked around to see what I could get for my mother's birthday. I got off work at 6:30pm everyday, which gave me 3 and a half hours to find something, at most 3 hours because the mall closed at 10pm. I worked at the build-a-bear workshop, but last year I made my mother a bear so two bears in a row wasn't the perfect gift. A gift card was my last resort, because there isn't much thought into that gift. My mother's 48th birthday fell on May 30th, which was this Sunday. I walked out of my shift and I could smell the warm pretzels from Wetzel's Pretzels.
By 8:00pm, I had a gift for my mother, Lindsay, and decided to go home.
I got home by 8:16pm, I live rather close. I pulled up to the drive way and left the gift in the trunk for surprise purposes.
I opened the door and a fresh blast of air hit my face, my dad had the AC on. Once I walked in my mother and father were passed out together on the couch. My dad has his legs over my mom's legs, the T.V was on Cartoon Network. My dad loves Tom and Jerry, so I knew he was the last one awake.
I headed into the kitchen and opened up the fridge. I grabbed some pizza from last night and heat it up in the microwave. I opened up the freezer and grabbed my half frozen Fruit Punch Gatorade. After my pizza was done, I headed down the hall to my bedroom. I closed my door and set my food on the desk where my laptop was. I powered it on and logged on to Netflix to watch Orange Is The New Black.
The opening credits started playing, and I pulled out my phone and scrolled through Instagram. I liked a couple pictures, commented on some, and followed a couple people.
The series started to play, I only had it for background noise, because I couldn't stand a quiet atmosphere unless I was with someone. I went on Snapchat, watched some stories, and then got off. I was sitting at my desk for a good couple hours until the time struck 11:11, and like every other person I made the wish.
I turned off my laptop and headed to bed. I got on my phone again and scrolled through Instagram where I saw I received a new follower.
