Chapter 4: New me

Lucy's P.O.V

It's been 2 hours since Natsu fell asleep. I've been kinda worried, because Master wanted to talk to Natsu AND me. That really surprised me. Not that I think I'm weak, but I'm not exactly the best for that job, at least in my opinion. I think he wants to send us to the frontlines, but I'm not sure. We still have August to defeat and it was a risky move to send us anywhere, because others wouldn't stand a chance and it's a fact. I decided to wake up Natsu.

"Hey, Happy, let's wake up Natsu,' - I said excited. Natsu didn't snore or mumble his attacks, which was awfully strange for him.

"But he said to wake him up, when August will come..." - Happy said.

"I'm awake, idiots!" - Natsu said. His voice was cold, calm and a bit royal, similar to princess Hisui's, but hers wasn't as hursh and much friendlier.

"Natsu, is there something wrong..." - I said surprised at his tone.

"Well, nothing, but who are you?" - and his next statement sent shivers down my back - I don't know you, buddy.

He glared darkly at me. When we locked eyes, the only thing I thought about was my friendship with Natsu. Like he heard my inner voice, Natsu just nodded and frowned when Happy slammed his head against his chest.

"Natsu you remember me, right?" - Happy said let down with tears on his eyes.

"No, I don't recall any blue cats. You are an exceed, right?" - Natsu said curiously looking at Happy and me, yet his sight was calm and careless, like he didn't care about us. No! Natsu wouldn't ever. He cares deeply about his friends, but that thought really scared the hell out of me.

"I'm Lucy Heartfilia, Fairy Tail wizard. The strongest guild in Fiore. You remember Fairy Tail, don't you?" - I said determinedly to wake his senses.

He closed his eyes and asked curiously.

"What is Fairy Tail?"

"That's it, Natsu! We are coming to Master, - I yelled in pure anger and disbelief. It can not be happening!

"Well... I did wanted to talk to him anyways, so lead the way Luigi, - he said while standing up.

While we were going, Natsu looked around the place with some royal and calm sight. It's like nothing could impress him, which made me even angrier. Usually he would look around with eyes filled of love and nostalgia. It bothered Happy too, but unlike me he wasn't angry, he was sad and depressed, like couldn't believe what he was witnessing.

"So new Natsu, do you like our guild?" - Happy asked flying closer to pinkette.

"I must admit, you decorated it kinda cool..." - he began.

"Yes!" - I thought. Even this Natsu liked our guild.

"However it stinks so much alcohol," - Natsu finished waving his arm unimpressed.

Then Natsu exdentally crushed into Mest.

"Watch where you going Natsu!" - Mest scolded him. Then Natsu casually turned around.

"I'm sorry," - he said with same bored look. Uh, he looked like Brandish a lot.

"NATSU APOLOGIZED!!!" - everyone shouted. Old Natsu wouldn't ever apologize to anyone, especially after being scolded or provoked. But new Natsu had manners. At least one good thing!

"Sheesh, it's not a big deal to shout for," - Natsu said giving them a dark glance. He looked frustrated. He looked like Erza. He looked menacing. He looked scary. And I feared him. How could I?

"Gramps, Natsu doesn't remember Fairy Tail!" - Happy shouted, giving a worried look to Natsu, who looked around for "gramps".

"He what!?" - Master shouted getting closer to the dragon slayer.

"So you are the master. Kinda small. I thought you would be tougher. Much tougher," - Natsu said dissapointed and petted Master's head.

"I can't believe you actually forgot. Natsu, that's so unlike you. Is that because of that fight with Jacob or August's magic?" - Master asked with concern in his voice, ignoring his comment, but shacking and a bit annoyed.

"He will pay for Natsu-nii!" - Romeo said snacking. It was seen that he wanted revenge.

"I hate to break to you, kid, but no one used any magic on me and if they did, I would know about that for sure. Besides it doesn't matter how I lost my memory, but rather how to bring them back. Am I right? But I do want to know details on what are we doing and a list of Fairy Tail wizard with their features, if you don't mind," - Natsu said with more of a concerned look.

"Sure. Right this way to my office. Lucy and Happy please accompany us. Mest get the list for Natsu," - Makarov ordered.

"Natsu?" - Happy asked with determination

"Yeah? What do you want blue cat?" - he said back without looking.

"Is that E.N.D who I'm talking to?" - Happy asked worried.

After that question some wizards tensed. E.N.D? He was Zeref's strongest demon. Why the hell he would be here? And what Natsu had to do about it? But Natsu did lost his memories and maybe it was E.N.D who did that!
I...

"I would be a liar if I said that you do not. But you talk to something in the middle. It's not Natsu that you know and yet it isn't a fearful demon either. I mean in the past just saying my name send villages on panic. So to sum up, I guess you can say that, but I already told you the consequences, but personally I prefer Natsu," - Natsu/E.N.D explained.

And with that he slightly pushed Master, snapping him out and demanding the way to his office. I walked over to new Natsu. For me he won't ever be E.N.D. He will just be new Him.

In this chapter I really wanted to show that Natsu is much smarter with his memories from 400 years ago. Also I wanted to show his new status as the demon king or just Tartaros master. At least I tried ;)
