Recap!
I pushed the back door opened and ran through my backyard. I felt tears blur my vision as I looked back at the house I grew up in. I let a tear fall as I saw a green light and my aunt's shadow hit the ground. I ran as fast as I could away from the house crying, knowing that I would never see my Aunt Lisa again.🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
Lily's POV
I could feel tears running down my face as I ran, but I never stopped to wipe them. I ran, despite the burning sensation in my lungs and the pain my legs, until I reached Harry's house. I panted and coughed trying to catch my breath. I knocked on the front door loudly wanting nothing more than to just see Harry. I knocked on the door louder as I hiccupped and sniffed.
"Harry open the door!"
There was a muffled reply before the door opened. A moment of silence filled the night before Harry spoke. "Lily?"
I stared at shocked Harry and sadly smiled. "H-Hey c-c-captain ob-obvious." I winced slightly as my voice came out cracking. I could barely speak, my throat hurt from all the crying, running, and rain. "C-c-can I come in?"
Harry pulled me into a warm hug while getting me inside, sheltering me from the rain and other dangers outside. "Harry who's at the-" Harry's aunt put down the cups she was carrying and rushed over to me. "Harry go start a warm bath." Harry didn't argue and went straight to the bathroom.
Petunia pulled me into a hug and rubbed my back. "Your aunt Lisa called and told me everything. We'll take care of you."
I nodded not wanting to talk and pulled back remembering the letter. I pulled out the letter from underneath my sweater and handed it to her. "She wanted me to give this to you." My voice was no where near above a whisper so I don't think she heard me, but she got the message.
"The bath is ready." I turned around fast and saw a sad looking Harry. I ran to him and pulled him into a tight hug. He hugged back even tighter not caring if I was soaked to the bone. I cried onto his shoulder not caring how weak looked, I just needed Harry. We stayed like this for a long time before I shivered.
"Harry show Lily to the bathroom." Harry's aunt opened the letter and began to read it. Harry walked me to the bathroom, not letting go of my hand. I looked at the hot bath waiting for me and sadly smiled, "Thank you, Harry." I gave him a light kiss on the cheek before letting go of his hand and closing the door.
I looked in the mirror and frowned. My face was tearstained, my hair was damp from the rain, and my clothes are soaked. I took off my clothes before getting into the hot bath and hugging my knees close to me. I wanted to cry, but I couldn't. I felt numb as if I had no more tears to cry. My aunt is gone, I'm never going to see her again. I rested my head on my knees. No stop. She wouldn't want me to think this way. I stopped thinking and just took a bath.
After my bath, I changed into one of Harry's shirts and sweatpants. I looked at the mirror and sighed softly before walking out of the bathroom turning off the lights. I walked into the living room where everyone was waiting.
"Before you say anything, I want to say thank you for letting me stay. I don't want any special treatment, or anything extra. I want to be treated like Harry, because we are obviously not normal, and it wouldn't be fair to him. I also want to be sharing a room with Harry. I want to know all the rules of the house and I will help in anyway I can."
They were all silent at first looking like fish out of water, but they soon got over it and told me everything I needed to know about everything.
"I think we all ought to go to bed." Uncle Vernon got up from where he was sitting and told me to follow him. I looked back at Harry who just smiled trailing behind us. We ended up in the cupboard under the stairs. "This is where you will be staying with Harry, until we clean up Dudley's second bedroom."
I frowned as Harry got in first, and I second. Vernon slammed the door shut and turned off all the lights leaving us in the dark.
I looked around in the dark and moved my head hitting something hard. "Ouch!" I heard Harry laugh softly. "Lily stop moving so much."
"It's hot in here Harry. I'm going to take off my sweatpants. Sorry if it makes you uncomfortable"
"It's fine."
I could've sworn I saw him blush, but I let it go. I took off my pants and it instantly got colder. "Okay I'm all good now."
There was a pause. "Aunt Lisa died today. The last thing she said to me was that my dad is still alive... And that she loved me."
"Aren't you sad?"
"Yes... But there are other worse things."
"Like what?"
"Like not knowing your parents before they died, and living with your evil aunt and uncle."
Harry pulled me closer, so that I was basically lying on him. He put his chin on my head, "I love you Lily."
I curled up to him, "I love you too Harry." I reached up and kissed his scar, as he raised my wrist to his lips and kissed it gently before tracing it lightly.
We both fell into a dreamless sleep.
