Buddha

you're in my religion class today

you sit directly across from me

i sit directly across from you

it is the only class that i've had where the desks arranged in circle

you didn't look at me once

even i observed you for the entire time

i may sound like a creep

but

tried not to observe you is hard

i kept looking at you

your black long hair

which is loosed on your shoulder

covered half of your face

and

your wound lips

what happened to you?

in the end of class

the teacher order us to write down everything on the black board

can be question, quote, or name from what we discuss today

and today was your turn

with a sigh you stood up from your chair then wrote on the blackboard

"You only lose what you cling to.
Pain is certain, suffering is optional. -Buddha.'

then you read that slowly

it's kind of soothing me

listened to your voice

the teacher smiled at you

and you smiled back to her

but

why

your eyes

told

you choose

both?
