II - Alyssa Snow- II
School had just ended and I was making my way out of the parking lot, softly humming a tune to myself.
My house was not too far away and it took me just a couple minutes of walking.
Usually, my friend Kelly would drop me at home in her car, as her house was in the same street as mine.
But I was walking home today as she had to accompany her Mom to the hospital for an appointment.
"Hey Lys!" I whirled around to the sound of my name being called by someone.
My friend Emily was running towards me, her backpack jerking with each step she took. She had a rolled sheet of paper in one hand, and a half-eaten chocolate bar in the other.
She wore a huge grin on her face, resembling the one on mine. "What's got you so excited?" I asked cheerfully. She halted to a stop beside me, panting to catch her breath.
"We are-going for-a-boat ride!!!" she said in between pants. My grin widened, "When?" I eagerly asked her. "In a couple of hours!" she grinned back. "That's awesome!" I said.
"Will Chase be coming with you?" I asked her. "Yeah, he said he'll also bring Savannah with him!" she chirped back excitedly. Chase is Emily's boyfriend for six months now.
He is a good friend of mine and a really funny person to talk with. Savannah is his adorable seven-year-old little sister whom we usually call 'Savvy'.
In my opinion, she is the cutest being in the whole wide universe. I was really glad they were coming with us. "So it's only the four of us? Isn't Kelly coming along?"I asked.
"No, she said she can't make it today." She replied. I was a bit saddened by this.
Wherever we went, the three of us would always stick together. Kelly was the bouncy one out of the three of us, and the trip would be a lot more exciting if she was with us.
"But don't you worry; she said we could go shopping together this weekend to make up for it." Emily assured me. I smiled.
"So Chase, Savvy and I will come pick you up at five. Be ready!" she chirped and we parted ways, waving at each other.
I was more than excited to go for the ride. I smiled to myself as I thought about the trip and continued my walk home.

"Coming!" I called out from my window to the car parked in my driveway.
I made my way down to the front porch. "Mom, I'm going! I'll be back in an hour or so!" I called out to my mother who was in the kitchen, baking something.
I had told her about the ride and she had gladly agreed. "Okay, dear! Be back in time!" She called back to me. I made my way to the car, grinning.
"Took you long enough" Emily and Chase said in unison, wearing bored looks on their faces. Oops! I guess I made them wait for too long.
I ignored the both of them and held out my arms to hug Savvy. "Hey Savvy!" I greeted, ruffling her dirty-blonde hair and engulfing her in a bear hug.
She was wearing a white sundress with pink flowers on it, making her look as adorable as ever. "Hey Lys!" she grinned at me, hugging me back.
I got into the car and Chase started driving. Emily and Chase were seated at the front, leaving me and Savannah at the back.
