Ginny's POV -

I was leaning against the wall, watching groups of students passing, when I spotted him. He was alone, thankfully. Darting out of the corridor, I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the secluded area. His face relaxed from its shocked expression when he saw me.

"Ginny, what the hell was that?" he asked, more amused than angry.

"I have a plan," I told him, ignoring his load groan at those words. "No, seriously, this one is going to work."

"Come on then, hit me with it."

"Right, so have you noticed that Ron and Hermione have been spending a lot of time together recently?" I said, smiling when Harry just shrugged. "Well. I think they would be perfect together! Why are you laughing?"

"Because, all Ron and Hermione do is argue! They wouldn't last a day as a couple."

That's exactly why they would be good together! Imagine the sexual tension." I replied.

"Right, I don't really want to be thinking about my best friends having sex, if I'm honest."

"Not necessarily sex," I said, laughing as I watched Harry grimace. "Are you in?"

"Okay, but I will say 'I told you so' if it all goes wrong."

"It won't" I replied confidently.

Hermione's POV, a week later -

As I was doing my Transfiguration homework in the common room, I looked up and noticed Harry and Ginny entering. Waving at them, they smiled back before going to sit in the opposite side of the room, and bent their heads close together, talking in low voices.

"Hey, Ron," I said, kicking him gently. "Have you noticed that Harry and Ginny have been spending a lot of time together?"

"What? No they haven't." came his reply, as he looked at them sitting on a sofa by the window.

"Yes they have, Harry has barely joined us for lunch this week, and last Saturday I didn't see him till dinner." I said, wondering what they had been doing. "You don't think they're, you know -"

"No way. Harry would have told me, and Ginny would have told you. For sure." Ron said confidently. I nodded, because I knew it was true.

"Well, do you think they would be a good couple?" I asked.

"I don't know, I don't like the thought of anyone with my sister."

"Yeah, but Harry would be fine, wouldn't he? He's nice, and he wouldn't hurt her." I had long thought that Harry and Ginny would be good together. She had got over her little crush, but she must still have some lingering feelings. I know that she had dated Michael, and had a thing with Dean, so her confidence has risen a lot. I wondered if I could do anything to help push them together.

"I mean, yeah, if it had to be someone, then Harry would be better than most guys."

"Exactly, even you see that they would be good together. We should try to make it happen." I said enthusiastically, really getting into the idea.

"Does she even need to be with anyone? Can't we just leave it?" Ron complained.

"No, don't be lazy." I said, which started an argument. But I knew I had him on board with my plan.

A/N

This story is set loosely in the sixth year, but Voldemort doesn't exist, and I'm not going to be following main events in the books, so it's not going to be really detailed, just focusing on the story really. I should warn you now, that updating may be slow. Also the title is rubbish, sorry, if anyone can think of a better one please comment.
