4. Hoya!

"Hey Hoya!" I yelled as I see him leaning against the lockers near the hallway. I gave him a quick side hug and we began to converse. "Hello! What are you doing here at this time? Don't you have to go home now?" He asked me. My bestfriend of 8 years. To this day , we were still like 2 peas in a pod , however he remain oblivious to my feelings for him.
"Yeah I don't have Netball training today , so I'm finally able to go back soon. But I was considering to stay back and watch you during your track and field training."
"Alright , let's head over to the tracks now" Hoya said with a charismatic smile. Soon after, it was his turn to do the high jump. His unwavering and focused gaze on the pole , made me fell in love with him more. "GO HOYA! FIGHTING" I shouted , to give him an encouragement.
He did quite well for practice and as usual he walked me home. I pondered whether to confess to him or not , hoping not to break our ever so strong friendship of so many years. I decided that I should pluck up my courage and confess. Well.. Since we're going to be reaching my house soon , I stuttered out bravely.
"Hey Hoya , I've something to tell you. Please promise me that you'll not let it affect our friendship and no matter what the outcome , you'll still be friends with me alright?" Hoya seemed hesitant but nodded. "I..I.. For the past 8 years we've been friends with, I've liked you ever since and I can't get over you. I like you Hoya." As I finished , waiting for his reply , my cheeks blushed red with embarrassment.
"I should be the one to confess first. I never really had the courage to tell you , but now I really have to say that I like you so very much! Will you please be my girlfriend?" He said lovingly.
I nodded , tears of joy started to stream down my first and he twirled me in the air and hugged me afterwards.
Hoya was finally my boyfriend. I fangirled internally.
