"Name?"

"Aegis."

"Gender?"

"Female."

"Age."

"...That's a secret."

She looked like a regular teen.

I was alone in a dark room with this girl, Aegis, the one behind all these mysterious murders over the years. I had so much to ask her... Why was she doing this? HOW was she doing this? All her victims, after analyzing them so much times, they had no wounds, no cuts, nothing. They were physically unharmed, in a dry room. They were perfectly healthy except...

Their eyes, all her vicitm's eyes, they were always soulless. How does one do that?

Aegis was handcuffed to a chair right in front of me, looking so unentertained. So far, she was answering all my questions, doing as we tell her. In fact, she was so obedient that we were questioning whether this was all part of a plan she had in mind. If we were walking right into her trap.

"What else do you need from me?" Aegis questioned, looking at me with her yellow eye. I couldn't see her other eye, it was covered with her incredibly long bown side bangs. Though, that one yellow eye, was already captivating.

She had a pretty face for sure, quite a figure as well. It's almost not possible to look this... Mesmerizing.

"Is that all you're going to ask me?" She further questioned, "You could have just asked me on the spot instead of taking me."

I cleared my throat, getting my head back into the topic, "You know very well why I took you in, why you're handcuffed, why an investigator is questioning you and your motives."

"Oooh," she spoke, as if just realizing what all of this was for, "Are you a fan?"

"The murders Aegis, the murders!" I exclaimed, slamming my hands down onto the table, not fazing her one bit. I let out a sigh, calming myself, "You are being charged of murders. You know, the ones being broadcasted on the news 24/7, incase you decide to take another victim's life."

"Hey," Aegis pouted, looking at me like a child, "I get hungry to you know?"

Once again, I let out a sigh, "Why did you turn out like this...?"

"Oh," Aegis then fixed her position on her seat, "You wanna know my backstory? Why I'm like this? Wow, that's new! I never had anyone ask me that before!"

"No, that's not what I---"

"Fine, fine," she cut be off, "But only because you're not even going to live by the end of this..."

"Is that a threat?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at her.

She shook her head, "Oh, no no officer!"

She grinned, "It's a fact."

"Have you ever heard of the Soul Transfer Experiment?" Aegis questioned me, her tone different, "Or, the STE for short?"

My eyes widened. The STE was led by a mad man, Alexander Brie. He believed that souls could transfer from one body into another. The experiment was unsuccessful, and even cost the life of many innocents. This information was confidential, how could SHE know of this!?

"You're reaction tells me that you know of it," Aegis drew me out of my thoughts, smiling at me despite her situation, "That's nice."

"That information is highly confidential!" I remarked in disbelief, "How could you know of that?"

The smile on her face didn't leave.

"Let me properly introduce myself," Aegis spoke, "My name is Aegis, Aegis Brie. My mother, sadly, I have long forgotten. My father on the other hand... Is Alexander Brie."
