"Hyung!" Sehun ran over to the older boy, waiting by the railing on the rooftop. "Sorry, I should've gotten here first." He rested the palms on his hands on his knees and tried to catch his breath.

Lay smiled at his dongsaeng, whispering a quiet, "It's fine. I didn't wait long anyway." He smiled a little smirk as Sehun stood up straight, his face covered in a cherry-red blush. He pressed his lips together, the corners turned down just a little.

"Hyung...I've known you since the beginning of the year...which was, like, seven months ago, and um..." What am I doing? He felt himself rambling on and on and stopped himself before he started talking too long. "Um, hyung, I love you." He bowed a little (he wasn't used to bowing), embarrassed, and pressed his eyes hard together. When he heard a dreadful silence from his hyung, he opened his eyes. There was Lay, knelt down, looking up at him. Sehun almost jumped up in surprise (but managed to keep his shock to a minimal eye-widening.)

Lay smiled, but his eyebrows knitted together a little. But Sehun, despite all these bad signs, he couldn't help but notice the cute dimple on his right cheek. And then Lay opened his mouth slowly, and Sehun's attention snapped back (well, after he stared at those plump, pink lips first).

"Sehun-ah..." Sehun felt his heart thump loudly (he wondered if Lay could hear it too.) He loved it when hyung called him that. "I'm sorry. I don't go for younger guys..."

Sehun froze, still bent over a little, and eyes still wide. He bent his knees to be on level with Lay...and put his head in his hands.

"Sehun...I'm sorry. Are you okay?" Sehun felt a hand rest on his back. And he couldn't help it, the hysteria hit him. He started laughing, his body shaking with him as his breathing got more and more rigged. And then those laughs became tears, but he didn't let Lay see that.

"I'm fine, hyung." He got up quickly, facing away from him so that he wouldn't see the salty drops crawling down his cheeks.

And Sehun left the rooftop as fast as he could.

-----------

Sehun didn't go to school the next day. Or the next. In fact, for the rest of the week, Oh Sehun didn't come to school. And being the new kid who was too shy to even talk, no one noticed.

Well, almost no one.

-----------

Lay couldn't help but sigh in class the Monday of the next week as he realized that he could not see Sehun through the window. The school was built in an odd way and shape, and his seat happened to be next to the window. The way his seat faced, he could look out of the window into the freshman classroom two doors down. And the seat that had always been the easiest to see happened to belong to a young boy named Sehun.

He'd never actually talked to the younger student before until very recently. He'd bumped into him in the hallway, having accidently pushed all the papers in his arms out of his hands. They were copies of handouts that his teacher needed. Lay had helped Sehun pick them up. But Lay hadn't seen the sheet right in front of his foot. He'd stepped on it, slipped...and fell into the arms of the other boy.

Sehun's arms around him had been a warm kind of feeling, in fact, it felt right, and he was a lot stronger than he thought he'd be for a freshman. Lay had avoided eye contact, and scrambled to his feet quickly, looking away. He gathered the rest of the papers (only a couple left on the ground) and then walked away, putting the memory of the boy with the blushing face in the back of his mind.

He never really realized how much he thought of Sehun, how much Sehun's body, appearance, aura, existed in his life.

------------

Sehun was almost out cold in his bed when the doorbell rang. His parents were out at work, and he was pitifully alone in the house. His iPod was playing music on the speakers, but the volume was low. He turned it up a little as he sat up.

He was slow on his way down and in his head, he hoped the person outside his door wouldn't ring the doorbell again (it was rather loud) or leave (it might be important). The world around him spinned a little and he stumbled once or twice. He actually felt a little nauseous and as he opened the door, he moaned out a little, "Can I help you...?"

Of course, he didn't expect Lay to be outside the door, so when it actually was him, he instantly stood up straight, resulting in a pounding in his head.

"Ow..." He muttered as he dropped to one knee with his head in his hands.

"My god, are you okay!?" Lay put his arms on the young boy's shoulders and tried to help him up. "You...were sick this whole time?"

Sehun coughed a few times and then topped it all off with a sneeze. "Yeah, what did you think?"

"I just...I..." And then he remembered that, on that day, the wind was blowing rather fiercely and Sehun hadn't worn a jacket. And they were on the roof. "C'mon." He carried him up the stairs with one of Sehun's arms draped over his shoulder. "Which one's your room?"

Sehun's head hung low and Lay could hear his heavy breathing. "Second door on your right..."

He helped the sick boy into bed and put the blankets over him. Then he pulled over a chair and stared at the young boy's face. Sehun's eyes were closed, long lashes almost fluttering over his cheekbones. There's a pink flush over his cheeks, just like on that day, and Lay almost blushed too, thinking, he's so cute...

"Listen, Sehun..." Lay leaned forward a little, elbows on his knees. Sehun's eyes opened and he moaned a "yeah?"

"I didn't...mean what I said the other day. I'm really sorry. I just...get nervous around you and I've...never...gone out...And I kinda...like..you.........too..." His voice got quieter and quieter near the end. He cleared his throat. "I'll go get you some water."

He stood up quickly and left, feeling more embarrassed now that he'd finally said it. He descended the stairs and walked into the kitchen. There were counters on three sides of the wall, cabinets above and below, and other kitchen essentials scattered here and there. He grabbed a cup, the first one he saw, and rinsed it, just in case it wasn't the cleanest. There was a tea kettle and when he checked inside, he saw (and felt) the steam rising from the water inside. It was still hot. He poured it into the cup, filling it a centimeter before the top, and picked it up delicately to bring it back up.

He accidentally dropped the cup when he turned and saw Sehun standing extremely close. The glass shattered everywhere and he looked down in shock. "My god, I'm so sorry." He bent down, wanting to pick up pieces, but Sehun grabbed his arm and stopped him.

"Hyung, you're bleeding." He looked at a small cut on Lay's arm, but one could hardly call it "bleeding". The tiniest drop of blood threatened to fall out, but before it could, Sehun licked it. With his tongue still on his hyung's arm, he looked up to look at Lay.

Across his face, from ear to ear, the older boy was covered in a fine blush. Sehun stood up and put his hands on the counter, surrounding Lay.

"Um..Sehun..you..."

"Me?" He asked innocently. "Frankly, I'm delusional from the fever, right? And so I just thought I heard my hyung say he liked me back." He leaned his face closer; they were just inches apart.

"..Y...Yeah?" Lay was speechless, and his breathing was coming out ragged. And that's when Sehun couldn't take it.

He leaned in and kissed him.

Sehun put his forehead against Lay's, and stared down at his lips. "I'll show you why younger guys aren't so bad."
