I held a coin, that was priceless to man
But it burned and blacked the skin of my hand
Yet i held it tight, for its value to me
Was worth more than gold and ivory
But after too long, i could hold no more
And then, one night, My coin dropped to the floor
So here i sit, tending my burns
Knowing that this is my lesson learned
The coin appeared to not want to be held
As its burning glow ceased as the coin fell
But i knew if i touched again it would sear
And now its become entirely clear
There is no coin worth more than my health
An ice cold penny, worth more than scorching wealth.
