Cats of The Broken Shards

It's really confusing so I wrote this-

Kits start their apprenticeship once they open their eyes. Kit-apprentices live in the nursery and train with sheathed claws. Once they turn 6 moons, they move to the apprentice den and train with unsheathed claws. Kit Mothers leave the nursery once their kit or kits become a apprentice. Kit-apprentices are given 3 cats, chosen by the leader, to become their mentor. The kits chose their mentor if those 3 cats. Most she-cats are forced to hunt rather then fight. Mates are allowed. Each couple must have at least one litter of kits to supply the group. Once the leader dies or retires, the deputy becomes leader. If the deputy dies or retires, there is a battle of the cats who wish to become deputy, the survivor becomes deputy. In order to be deemed worthy, apprentices are sent to the forest for three days. During those days, they cannot eat, they can only drink. Apprentices must bring back prey or another offering of some kind, such as a prisoner to kill before the clan. If the apprentice fails to bring back at least 7 pieces of prey or another offering or if they eat, they are sent to become a healer. The assessment is taken at 12 moons.
