[ I know my writing style is pretty depressing, but thanks for hanging in there and reading on! Now, let's see what stirs up between Kaoru and Tamaki in this next chapter~ ]

Once again fulfilling its cruel and mundane repetition, time continued to roll forth like a dove progressing slowly against the breeze; flying ahead in a slow and consistent manner of unstoppable force. Breakfast came and went, leaving another morning of loneliness for Kaoru as others brushed past and chatted. They had no idea of the ongoing pain. None of them did.
The antemeridian time quickly departed and replaced itself with noon, where Haruhi and Tamaki rejoined and walked down the halls together on the third floor. They conversed, and when Kaoru was brought up Tamaki's mood seemed to droop.
"I haven't managed to find him since yesterday," he sighed. "He wasn't even at his house when I tried to visit."
"It seems like he's completely avoiding us now. You know, he probably wouldn't be as upset about it if you hadn't let Nekozawa-Senpai do some creepy ritual for Hikaru." Haruhi remarked. "It could have offended him."
"I know that he's upset," he said in a sincere voice and honestly guilty look. "I've been trying like crazy to talk to him so I can just apologize for everything that's happened. He must be so angry at the world right now..."
"It's good you want to help."
"I just need to do it before it's too late," came a barely audible mumble.
They walked a bit longer before Haruhi happened to spot something out in the courtyard through the window. Out in the far distance, she recognized a lonely figure sitting upon a bench amidst a garden-maze of bushes. She desisted mid-step and stared.
"Hey, isn't that Kaoru?" she inquired.
"WHAT!?" Tamaki yelled out as he jumped to the window. In a cloud of dust, he dashed away at lightning speed off to the nearest flight of stairs.
"Hey! Wait for me!" Haruhi called out, following his trail.
They ran for a few minutes, Haruhi far behind the lead. They passed classrooms and crowds of students beside windows and more stairs, hurriedly racing to find Kaoru. Down the halls, through the cafeteria until finally, she caught up to him outside the building.
"Hey," she panted. "Don't just run off like that! Wait for me next time!"
"Sorry, I forgot you're a slow runner," Tamaki spoke up, also gasping for air. "Which direction was he in from here?"
"I think it was south from here," she replied as she pointed to a near building.
"He wasn't far from building B, right?"
"Yeah."
Tamaki booked it again, Haruhi groaning and rushing recklessly to keep up. They ran across the entire courtyard and turned, now racing along next to a wall.
"He's running so fast," Haruhi thought. "It's almost abnormal."
Running, panting, never stopping... That is, until Tamaki ran right into Kyoya, who had just turned the corner. He gasped as all three of them crashed, stumbling and ultimately regaining their balance. That is, all save Tamaki who hit the ground face-first.
