I held my belly as I walked into my old school. I haven't ever been this nervous in my life.
"Hey, Mallory!"
I looked over and saw a friend from last year waving.
"Hey, Carrie!"
I continued walking and smiling at old faces. 'Gosh... People haven't changed..' I thought to myself.
"Hey, Mallory."
I looked up at the deep voice I'll always tremble hearing... Even though I knew who it was, I looked back.
"H-Hi."
I held my books closer to my chest and started walking at a fast paste. 'What! Why's Cole here?!' I started to shake once I realized what this meant.
"Why'd you run away? I thought we were friends?" Cole said, with a nasty grin on his face.
"Y-Yeah.. Until you threatened to beat the hell out of me.''
I rested my back against the bright orange and blue lockers.
"C'mon, Hunny. I wouldn't do that."
His smile pierced threw me. I felt the stinging from his eyes on my chest.
"That's not what Cameron said..."
I felt brave. Like today was my lucky day. Obviously that flew out the window..
"Listen, Slut. If I see you trying to flirt with any guy, I'll kill them. You think you're popular. But lemme bring it to you, You're not. I have a fan base. Consider that popular. And yes, I will kick the shit out of you if you don't do as I say, when I tell you to do it."
His voice changed from asshole, to mega asshole. And you can't blame me for being terrified of a 16 year old fighter...
I could feel his breath on my forehead as he bent down to look me in the eyes.
"Do you understand... Slut Muffin?"
His friend chuckled at his stupid joke.
"Y-Y-Yes, Cole..." I lowered my head in sorrow.
He grabbed my waist and pushed my books to the floor.
"I'm gonna... Drop by... Later." He winked and turned away.
I picked up my books and ran to my first class. I was petrified. Why would he do that? What did I do? I sat in all my classes thinking... Over and over again.
'What'd I do?'
