Chapter 1

CHRISTINA'S POV:

They left and we changed. They never contact us and we changed. They just left and everything changed.

It's been a whole year since our parents left me and my 5 younger sisters. One morning we woke up and noticed our parents weren't home, we tried calling them but they never picked up. We waited for weeks, called the police but nobody knows where our parents are. The police told us they are not in America anymore and they don't know where on earth they are. This all made me responsible for my 5 younger sisters. Kathrine, Lisa and Amy are old enough to look for theirselves, they have a job like me and never have a problem they can't solve on their own but Lauren and Dani are still really young. They are going to a public school. They used to be great students but ever since our parents left them turned bad, they still get good grades but they get in trouble a lot and hang out with bad people. Kathrine, Lisa and Amy also changed but not as bad as Lauren and Dani. Kathrine turned more quiet, always serious and never jokes around anymore. Lisa gets mad really fast especially at Lauren for some reason. Amy is like Kathrine not happy anymore, really quiet and serious all the time. I didn't really change, I got more responsible though but I guess that's normal in our situation.

So I'm a therapist in a hospital, Kathrine is a nurse in the same hospital, Lisa is dance teacher and Amy is working at a daycare. Since 4 of us are working and get payed really well we are kind of rich.

Anways I was in the living room just chilling and watching tv. I just got back from work with Kathrine who is also in the living room with me. Lisa walked inside looking madly

What's wrong?- I asked

Lauren got in trouble- Lisa said and we sighed

Her school called me, she got caught smoking weed behind the school with her friends- Lisa said and I got up.

I'll go get her- I said

I'll come with you- Lisa said and I nodded

Kathrine will you make dinner tonight?- I asked her and she nodded. Lisa and I drove to Lauren and Dani's school and walked to the principals office and saw Lauren on a chair with red eyes probably high from the weed. Nothing new or shocking though.

Hello, thank you that you could come this fast- The principal said. We nodded and sat down

Listen, this is the fifth time Lauren is caught doing drugs at school, she has detention for a whole month but this needs to stop. Her grades are great, she used to be a great students but every since your parents left she...........- The principal said but Lauren cut her off

DON'T TALK ABOUT MY PARENTS!- Lauren yelled

Lauren- Lisa warned

Shut up! She has no right to talk about our parents, nobody can talk about them because they are not here! You can't talk about someone who just left!- Lauren snapped and I swear I saw a tear roll down her cheek. Lauren never cries, every since our parents left she doesn't shows her emotions.

Lauren I know I can't say much about your parents but we both know that you changed after they left- The principal told her.

So what- Lauren snapped. I sighed and got up

I understad the problems Lauren causes and I promise I'll talk with her about it- I said and he nodded. We left the room and I dragged Lauren in the car

You're grounded for 2 months, one more time getting in trouble and you won't get out of the house for a year- I snapped and drove home. We finally arrived home and Lauren was about to walk away but I grabbed her and dragged her inside.

I said you're grounded- I snapped and pushed on the couch. She rolled her eyes and got up walking upstairs.

What happened?- Amy asked  walking inside, she just got back from work

Laurem got caught smoking weed at school again- Lisa said and Amy sighed

What are we going to do with her?- Amy asked

We have no idea- We all said and sat down.

Guys dinner is ready- Kathrine said. We all got up and walked to the dinner table. Dani was already there looking on her phone.

Hey Dan, how was school?- I asked her sitting down next to her

It was ok I guess- She said looking at me smiling weakly. I notice Dani is slowly getting back to her normal self but most of the time she is getting in trouble.

Lauren come downstairs! Dinner is ready!- Lisa called her. A few minutes later Lauren walked downstairs and sat down next to Amy and Lisa. We start eating and I noticed Lauren wasn't really eating, just playing with her food.

Lo is there something wrong? Don't you like it?- I asked her and she looked up at me

No, nothing is wrong, I just don't feel like eating right now- She said

Are you feeling sick?- Kathrine asked

No I'm ok- She said and we nodded. We all knew something was going on with Lauren but we decided to not push her and just finished dinner and I cleaned the table with Lauren.

Chris- Lauren said and I looked up at her.

Yes?- I asked

Do you ever feel lonely?- She asked and I got confused

What do you mean?- I asked

Well, you know when you are just at work or home and you just feel alone, like there is nobody who cares about you- Lauren said and I got a little worried. Does Lauren feels lonely?

Well I mean I did feel like that after mom and dad left but after a month I never felt lonely anymore cause I know I have people who care and love me- I said and she nodded looking away.

Do you feel lonely?- I asked worried and she looked at me. Her face expression changed from sad and lost to mad and arogant.

Ofcourse not, I have enough friends who care about me- She snapped

Lauren your so called "friends" don't care about you, they just get high and drunk with you but they are not your real friends- I told her.

Shut up, you don't even know them- She snapped

and I'm glad I don't know them, they are bad people and got you into drugs and alcohol- I snapped and pushed passed her. Deep inside me I knew Lauren didn't want to admit that she feels alone and sad, just for some reason she doesn't tell me.

what can I do for her? How can I make her see she is doing bad things?
