Arthur huffed slightly as he made his way down the hall, backpack on and a few books in his arms.
It was a bit before the first class of the day started and Arthur hadn't seen Alfred. Not where they met up in the morning, no text from him either.
Yet.
He was walking their usual rout, through the commons, down this other hallway when he was sopped you Mathew.
"Hey, Arthur could you come with me? I wanna show you something"
"Hello Mathew, what is is you wanna show me?"
"It's a surprise Arthur so could you close your eyes please?"
"Yes" he closed his eyes "have you seen Alfred by any chance?" He shuffled his books around, freeing one hand.
Mattie took his hand and started to lead Arthur back to the commons, a smile. Well more of a small smirk, was on his face. "No I haven't. But if I see him, I'll tell him your looking for him"
"Thank you"
They stopped walking after a bit in the middle of the commons. "Can I open my eyes now?" Arthur asked with a slight sigh.
"No not yet. Wait here, im going to go get what I want to show you"
Before Arthur could say anything else, Mattie had already walked off.
A few minuets later he heard some foot steps.
"You've been more patient than I expected, Artie"
"Alfred? Where have you been?"
He went to open his eyes when Alfred's hand was put over them.
Did he have a glove on?
"Nope. Can't open them yet"
Even though he couldn't see, Arthur could even hear the Americans grin.
"Fine fine. Just tell me when I can"
After a few moments, whispers Arthur heard, and some more foot steps Arthur could open his eyes.
"You can open your eyes now"
"Alfred I swear if this is something ridiculous-"
He stopped talking once he saw Alfred standing in front of him.
In a batman costume.
Holding a sign.
Which read:
'Arthur, every Batman needs a Robin.
And every boy needs a date.
Will you be my Robin and go to prom with me?'
Arthur smiled and blushed, giggling a bit as well. Seeing Alfred in the Batman costume was kinda funny. It was cute too though.
"Yes Alfred. I'll go to prom with you" his smile big now as Alfred handed over the sign to Mattie and walked over, hugging Arthur
"Hey, Arthur?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you"
"I love you too, you idiot"
Alfred chuckled before looking down at Arthur and kissing him
Arthur kissed back of course
Neither of them would forget this.
Mainly because Mattie and Francis was recording it.
