Chapter 4: The Fall

"Is it still very far??", BamBam whined.

"I don't know, we're just walking until the sun goes down.", Jaebum said.

"Let's take a break for now", Youngjae suggested.

"Sounds good to me", I said.

The eight of us sat down on a tree branch, ate something and drank some water. We decided to play a game and started throwing a ball around but 5 minutes after we started playing, the ball already got stuck in a tree.

This is my chance, the perfect moment to impress him. "I'll get it."

"I'll help you, that's the least I can do after throwing it in the tree..", Mark said.

"Okay thanks! I could use some help getting in there."

Mark helped me get in the tree. I was almost there when he suddenly noticed a spider on his arm and dropped me.

"Silica!", Jaebum yelled as he tried to catch me. He was a little too late so I fell on him. Our faces were only inches away from each other. At the moment we finally realized that, we both started blushing like crazy.

"Oooooooh look at them being all lovey dovey", Jackson said.

"Shut up Jackson!", Jaebum said while we both got up.

"Aaawh", I said as I fell back on my knees. What is this?

"Are you okay?!", Jaebum asked.

"I think I hit my ankle when I fell out of the tree..."

"I'll carry you on my back, get on."

"No you don't have to-"

"Just get on, we need to get out of the woods before it gets dark.", he said.

"Okay..."

I got on Jaebum's back and tried not to look in anyone's face. I could feel my cheeks burning up so I was too ashamed to look at them. I just hid my face behind Jaebum's back.

"Hyung is blushing", BamBam said.

He is? Guess I'm not the only one huh.

"Shut up and keep walking..."

"This is a nice spot to place our tents", Mark said.

"I'll go search wood", Yugyeom said.

"I'll come with you", Youngjae decided.

"I'll make the fire! I can't really do anything else without using my foot...", I said feeling guilty.

"Just sit down Silica, don't make it worse by walking around. I already feel guilty enough for dropping you because of a stupid spider."

"It's okay Mark, Jaebum caught me on time so don't worry."

"I didn't really catch you Silica, I made you land softly on me and you still hurt your ankle."

"Don't worry okay, I'm still alive you know.", I laughed it of.

"I'm going to fish, are you coming along Mark?", Jackson asked.

"Yeah I'm coming."

"Yes! Let's catch some Markson fishes!!"

"I'm going to search some fruit. We haven't eaten any these days and I'd really like some.", Jinyoung said as he went inside the woods.

"It's only us left now...alone...in the dark...", BamBam said.

"Are you scared?"

"Definitely!", he admitted.

"It's okay, it's not that dark yet." But as soon as I said that, I realised that it was pitch black already. The others weren't back with the wood yet so I couldn't make the fire bigger. We were both starving but Jinyoung and Markson weren't back with any food either.

Suddenly there was a noice, like branches that cracked because someone stepped on them...or something?

"Guys is that you? Are you back with the wood or the food?", I asked. But there was no answer.

I didn't know what to do. Everything was so dark. "BamBam...", I said as I got closer to him. "What was that sound just now?"

"I don't know. I don't think I even want to know what it was..."

Then we heard the sound again but a little more quiet which meant it was further away. "I think that whatever it was, it's leaving now." I hope it is at least. But just as I said that, we heard a loud scream.

"Silica, did you hear that too?!"

"It sounded like..."

"Youngjae!", we both said in sync.

"Youngjae?! Are you okay?! What happened?", I screamed, hoping he'd answer.

"Guys?!", BamBam screamed. "Why aren't they answering..."

The noise came back and started to become louder and louder. I was trembling in fear, thinking of what it could possibly be. And worst of all, the fire was slowly going out.

I heard BamBam scream next to me. "BamBam...?" I said, now crying. I don't want to be alone.

Seconds later the fire was out and the last thing I saw was a big, black silhouette.
