i saved somebody else's life
don't believe it? - come and see
i pulled him from the jaws of death
i held his broken body.i gave him a bed, a house and a home
and fresh sheets to keep warm
yet, by the morning he had passed
his body cold, forlorn.i pulled him from the jaws of death -
away from the vicious, raging cat
the little mouse's broken body
bleeding on the mat.i gave him comfort, food and safety
kept safe from his would-be killer
i hope he's grateful for my aid
as he passes to the nether.
