Dear Meg,
I don't remember the last time I cried.
Wait, actually, I just cried last Saturday.
Let me rephrase that.
I don't remember the last time I cried with an actual reason.
Nowadays, the tears just come whenever they decided to, whenever they wanted to, without anything that triggers them.
And then after that, I feel nothing.
I build my guards up again.
Guards are meant to protect.
And in this case, to protect me from my own emotions.
To protect me from letting people in and getting hurt again afterward.
To protect me from you.
You tend to remind me and make me feel things that I shouldn't, Meg.
Love, Dylan
