A sequel of sorts of "Open Her Eyes". I left it largely ambiguous because I'm lazy and I didn't know how to describe a torture scene.

Blinding red light flooded Samekichi's vision. A gate creaked open.
Groaning in frustration from the absence of the once dark atmosphere, he struggled to open his eyes. With each attempt, rays of light pricked his eyes.
"Hello." A cheery greeting was followed by a childish giggle.
Was it really her...? Of course it wasn't.
It was not Wadanohara at all. She had that sadistic smile, that sickly sweet voice and those detesting vile eyes. However, no matter how he begged, shook or screamed at her in desperation, she would not change, she would not open her eyes. Every time Samekichi looked at Wadanohara in this possessed state, his heart cried, as if an earthquake just shook.
Anyways, why was she in this jail cell? What was she here for?
"Aha, Sal told me to come down here. He figured that I should persuade you to join the Red Sea. Plus," Wadanohara puffed her cheeks and chided, "you really haven't been responding much lately."
The fatigued shark opened his eyes wide in disbelief. His body slumped to the ground; it was as if gravity was ten times stronger, dragging his helpless flesh towards it. Pressure stacked heavily on his shoulders, pushing him down, rendering him paralysed. He knew he could not collapse yet, he had to save her.
"Really, I want you to see the world as how it should truly be." She sighed. "I don't want to force you, but you are taking way too long. My patience has its limits too, Samekichi."
Samekichi.
Something cracked in him. With every last ounce of his energy, despite the days before; full of brutal torture and starvation, he lunged at her. No more bars were in between now.
"Wadanohara! Listen to me... please." His voice shook. Tears streamed down his cheeks. He kept his deathly grip on her blouse. "Look at me."
The curious, round eyes of Wadanohara stared into his. Might as well let him say his last words.
"The Wadda I know is still in there... she's just blind from the truth. Stop lying to yourself. You know that this is wrong. This is not the way it is supposed to be."
Through his blurry vision, he was sure that in the garish red of her eyes, a sea of calm grey-blue had flashed in her eyes.
Maybe there was hope.
Maybe it was his imagination after all because immediately after that, all he ever saw was the cold-blooded smile of Wadanohara and a sea of red.
...
Somewhere on the seabed, a shattered ocarina crackled a once lovely tune.
"It's such a shame."
