Chapter 12
Rachel***POV
It was like looking at my own reflection, but in an older future. How was this possible? Her long blond hair was neatly tied back into a bun. She wore neat fit dark blue designer skinny jeans with a white tank top, black blazer and a cream color flats. She looks gorgeous as usual.
"I'm sorry Marina I wasn't looking where I was going." I apologize.
"No need to apologize sweetheart. I should be the one apologizing for running into you." I only node in respect although I felt truly bad for running into her, and this idiot standing next to me didn't even warn me. Marina smile at me. I watch her eyes travel down to my waist. It was then I realize that Davidson was still holding me by my waist. I flinch at our body contact his chest up against my back and I instantly step away.
"Hi I'm David." Davidson out stretch his hand taking Marina own.
"Marina, it’s nice to meet another friend of Rachel." My eyes snap up. Friend. Who said I was friends with this pervert.
"Uh... he's not my friend." I said awkwardly. Marina mouth from an 'o'.
"Then he's your boyfriend." she said a bit doubtful but I could hear the enthusiasm in her voice.
"No. No. No. Not a million years from now will he ever be my boyfriend. He is my student, I'm actually tutoring him. We are just here to get a bit to eat nothing more." I heard Davidson fake hurt at my choice of words.
Marian looks disappointed for a moment before covering it up with a smile. We said our good byes as Davidson lead me in to the diner. We sat on opposite sides of the booth. I stare out the big transparent window that gives me a lucent view of Marina and a boy around my age a little younger. He resembles her, but there was something about him. I felt like I knew him from somewhere. It was that exact same feeling I got when I first met Marina.
That force of magnetic. His is eyes met mine and there it was the shock of electric that spike in the pit of my stomach.
"Rachel. Do you want something to drink?” Davidson voice echo’s in my head. I turn to look at him. "Are you okay, you seem to have zone out on me there." I only node looking out the window one last time but to my surprise Marina and the boy was nowhere to be seen.
I could feel Davidson hot gaze on me and I sigh. I felt some one rub there thumb over my hand. My eyes travel across the table and there it was Davidson had my hand in his. I got a glimpse of his reaction as I jerk my hands away from his. The waitress came over that exact moment looking between the two of us. I recognized her from somewhere but I can't point my finger on it.
"Hey Rachel." The waitress with no name greeted.
"Hi. Um..."
"Oh Catty. Nick ex." I node my head in understanding finally remembering the time she spent with my brother. She's a very nice girl I don't know why Nick didn't just stay with her.
"Yeah I remember you."
"I guess you were the lucky one. I know how much you mean to him." she gives me a sad smile. Too bad I was not the lucky girl Emm is, but I wasn’t going to tell her that. "But anyways what will you guys like to order." She positions her pen in between her thumb and index finger.
"I'll have cheese burger with onions ring and coke." Davidson listed.
"I'll have the same but instead with fires and a strawberry milk shake." I said smiling at her as she left to put in our orders. Once Catty was out of sight Davidson and I fell into silent. I whip my phone out my pocket and send a quick text to Emm.
