"Y/N!!" I move my chin off my hand, I rub the spot where my hand once was and find it red and sore "Wha-Huh" I say still rubbing the spot on my chin. "Well if you have not already realized we are in the middle of science, and everyone can clearly hear you snoring and are now staring!" Brianna whisper shouts. I look up and around immediately embarrassed, I look around trying to spot the teacher making sure I had not been caught. Luckily he was out of the room, now to address my classmates, every one had there eyes on me as if snoring was a crime. As I look I make eye contact, which I so frequently do, and regret it.

"Hi" I say eager to make as many friends as possible, it was my first day at a new school and being a first grader I didn't mind making new friends. Many of the kids I spoke to rejected me saying I was weird, I only went home with three friends that day.
The next day brought more luck. I met a boy named Luke, a girl named Brianna, and another girl named June. I was happy, and spent ALL of my time with Bri and June. I forgot about Luke. But I guess that's how it works, you make friends then you lose some, wether it's tragic or mutual. At that point it was mutual.
*2 years later*
"What's up dork" I say as I sit on the bus. The seat was warm. Gross. "What's up loser" replied a way to excited boy. It was Luke, over the past two years we talked more and more, now we're best friends. There was even once when a kid threw up on the bus and I dared him to step in it. Don't ask me the rest. Anyway we are best friends. I know he likes me, he has asked me a couple times to "date" him or "be his girlfriend" but honestly it would never last. Dating in elementary school and even middle school usually doesn't last a day.
