*Laure's POV*
I look over at my clock.
9:42am
For a quick moment i freak out, until i look over to my window and realized that it was snowing.
I got out of my warm bed and made my way downstairs, i was and never a morning person, if you gave me a choice i would sleep until the afternoon. I walk down each stair with difficulty because i have slipped in the past being the clumsy person i am. When i step off the last stair i am overwhelmed by the smell of coffee and chocolate. My father is a heavy coffee drinker but i have no idea why i smell cocoa. I make my way to the kitchen and see my mom with a mug of hot chocolate next to her.
"Good morning honey, the school called at 6 am this morning i have been up ever since. They canceled school today and surprisingly they didn't cancel because of the snow."
I was confused. "Why else would they cancel?" My mom took on a very to the point tone when she said "The water pipes at the school froze and burst. It will be at least a week until you can go back, so until then you will be home without your dad or I to look after you." "What about Toby and Rex?" I said. Toby and Rex are my two younger brothers, both in elementary school. "They will still have school, in the mean time i want you to keep up with your school work, i have some old Algebra text books and your dad has some Geography text books." I hate Geography. "Okay, aren't you supposed to be at work? It's past 9:00?"I asked. "That was canceled due to snow." she chuckled a bit at the end.
I have a lot to plan. For a whole week i will be home alone for 7 hours of the day and baby sit for 2 hours after ward while my parents are still at work. How am i going to spend that time?
