I can't believe I'm about to say this... but I kind of agree.
DON'T SHOOT! PUT THE BAT DOWN! LET ME EXPLAIN, DAMMIT!
The Beatles are a wonderful band and I love them with all my heart, but I can't really headbang or feel completely electrified when I listen to their music. (Unless you count Helter Skelter, of course.)
Listening to groups like Queen and AC/DC, I can rock out to my heart's content.
Listening to groups like ABBA and The Monkees, I can dance, sing, and bop around.
Listening to artists like David Bowie, I can sit quietly and listen in complete awe.
Listening to groups like Split Enz and Supergroove, I can feel patriotic and close to home.
HOWEVER
I still love The Beatles and I'll always always always love them.
So there.
