Elysia

I read that the name means "thunder-struck," having evolved from the designation of a person or place struck by lightning

The rain was pouring so hard it was coming down side ways the wind beating stinging rain against my cheeks the sky lighting up for an instant before a monstrous clap of thunder made my ears ring i picked up my pace as the storm was getting closer suddenly the sky illuminated as i glanced behind me the brief light revealed a tornado closing in on the town and i let out a string curses as i started to run faster i had to get to my house and into the basement before the tornado caught me, heart beating erratically i pulled on the basement door frantically begging someone to let me in the door broke free just as i felt myself lift off the ground shrieking in terror i was being lifted quickly into the tornado my ears were popping ferociously at the extreme change in pressure as i was being tossed rapidly out of the top of the tornado and i briefly saw the swirling beast of wind tearing my house off its foundation as the swirl of clouds lit up i let out a gasp of horror that got taken away by the chaos around me and that's when it happened it seemed like it was happening in slow motion the world around me lit up once again and i looked down and saw a streak of lightning hurtling quickly up the center of the vortex straight. towards. me. this lightning wasn't like any i had seen before it was a luminous purple color I had never seen anything so breath taking-ly beautiful and terrifying and i squeezed my eyes shut a billion volts of purple beauty ready to fry me like a fritter hurtling up at me and i hardly got the chance to recognize the strangeness of it all before it was upon me I let out an agonized shriek that got lost in the fury of the tornado right before i blacked out i vaguely got the sensation of falling and then i was gone.  

(A/N: This will be a Super hero story once i work out all the kinks she will have powers from the lightning that are not completely unlike The Flash (super hero he's awesome look it up) however she will not have super speed. )
