Synopsis
Ashley, Jessica, Beth and Maria could all easily agree they had the best makeshift family in the history of makeshift families. Their unique clan consisted of nine members, each with distinct personalities. There are the four girls, along with the five members of a world-renowned boy band.
Being best friends with one of the hottest, funniest, sexiest boy bands in the world was no vacation. They were constantly criticized and hated on just for befriending the guys of One Direction.
They had all been together for a little under a year now but, they felt like they'd been with each other from the start. Each and every one of them had their own special bond with the others and the nine of them made a wonderful family.
They protected each other, the boys going through great lengths to ensure the girls' safety, both online and outside.
In return, the girls offered the boys an escape. After long days at the studio, endless meetings with management and bland interviews, the boys felt relief knowing they could come home to their penthouse suite in a posh apartment building in Central London and their four best friends would be just a floor under them, providing an environment of normalcy.
When they were with these four girls, they almost forgot who they were.
Instead of being in the world's biggest boy band, they were sometimes literature majors, or soon-to-be teachers. The five men couldn't be more grateful to the four ladies who were their saviors. They each claim that if it wasn't for Jessica, Ashley, Beth and Maria, they would have surely lost their minds and have been sucked into the fame.
Being as close as the nine of them were, they told each other virtually everything. They knew each other like the back of their own hands, or so they thought.
Unbeknownst to them, both parties have each been harboring feelings for a specific someone of the opposite gender. Not wanting to risk the close bonds each have, the nine individuals take no action upon their feelings.
A little bet between the girls changes all of that.
As a new summer season rolls around, the girls are determined to have their wishes come true. They will do anything and everything to try and capture the affections of the one who has captured theirs.
