Three: the day i died

I awoke two days after I had been captured on the battle field. I was bleeding profusely from my abdomen. A large wound was pulsing blood. It was what took me down.
I didn't even worry about it . I knew  I'd die today anyway.
I didn't have a fear in my body a specially not of death. My king Xavier lay next to me only 24 years old. He would be 25 in two months. His head was bleeding he had cud and bruises everywhere , he had been tortured.
I heard heavy steps coming closer to the cell I was in. Four men came ,opened the door. They held onto my arms. I let my body go numb knowing if I show pain that would be weak. I knew my fate. My husbands the same. But what's of my child will he grow and be strong or will he be found and killed. Ender is only two not yet old enough to know about anything.
Xavier was behind me I would die first. They would make him watch.
I held my head high because I had no fear I felt stronger than ever. We went up a few stone steps . The Guards whispered there sincere apologies. I told them softly that it was there job not there mistakes.

We got on a stone stage where I stood tall for all to see. Crowds of my people stood to show There respects . They new what would come in a few minutes. Women wept some even stood from there knees and sobbed. They knew what there life would be replaced by. Men even had tears falling from there faces . I was happy to be loved my them. I looked I front of me to Xavier . The man I loved so much who stood by me. The one who was always so strong was on his own knees with tears in his eyes trying so hard to stay strong for me . He gave me a big smile and spoke strongly till his voice broke from a sob "I'll see you on the other side my dear theo" it brought tears to my eyes I knew I'd never see his kind face agin.
I replied with a quite you to but my voice didn't  fail me .
I turned to the man in armor behind me and looked him in the eyes and saw sadness and pain he was from my kingdom and had to do this to his queen. I gave him a nod and turned to look at my people and carefully got on my own knees . I looked down at the stone where my blood will be shed and heard the screams of my people . Then I remembered to look up at the man who was getting old the reason I will die today . He was greying in the sides and sideburns. He looked at me with disgust and power. But I knew he was a cowardly old man who deserves to rot. He lets others do his dirty work. I gave him a knowing and sinister smile and spoke loudly I'll see you in hell old man. His face fell and became pale as he new he would indeed see me there. I cave a last glance to Xavier who was trying so hard to fight the tears and smiled at him and lowered my head and seconds later the man who's eyes I looked into . Mine will Haunt everyone's for ever till they die . I felt the cool metal split my neck till it hit bone . I did not cry I smiled . The thing with the axe it takes 2 to 4 whacks to behead then and you are awake the whole time. Then he pooled the blade back and swung it hard trying to ease my pain then it went through most of my spine and the last came effortless and my head fell to the ground . There wrong you don't see your life all I saw was my child and husband and heard the shouts screams and sobbing. And in that moment I was gone.
