The Girl Who Plays Basketball
Prologue
Andrea's POV
It's so hot! It's so hot! It's so hot! I'm burning in the sun, I was at the basketball courts with Cameron. Today was our last day in Florida before we move to California, so we decided to go to the courts for one last time. I regret that decision when I didn't check the weather, it was 98 degrees and I was burning from the game we just finished.
"Let's go get ice cream," Cameron offered when he saw me sweating a lot. I nodded in agreement, we walked to the nearest ice cream shop. We reached the ice cream shop after five minutes of walking in a comfortable silence in the heat.
"You want your usal?" Cameron asked me and I nodded.
"Can I get a cup with cookies n' creme, a large cup please, and one large cup of chocolate mint chip?" Cameron asked the lady behind the counter who was currently checking him out. I rolled my eyes, but I was used to it since Cameron is a player.
"Okay, on the house, kay?" she asked with a playful wink. He gave her a smile before returning to the table I was sitting at.
Soon enough she came out with our ice cream and gave me a glare when she notice I was here. "Oh Im sorry, I didn't know you had a girlfriend," she sneered as I ate my ice cream. I almost choked on my ice cream when she said that.
"Girlfriend? Uhh Im his sister," I said laughing then eating my ice cream again. Her cheeks turn to tomato red before going back to her position and just stealing glances at us.
"Im gonna miss this place," Cameron said sighing.
"Yeah I am too," I agreed.
"I wonder if the basketball team in California is as good as ours," he said getting me thinking about the same thing.
"I'm sure it is, but if it isn't we can always make it better," I said with a playful wink. He laughed and ate his ice cream.
