Chapter 1: New Guy?

Preet's pov:
Great another classmate, wouldn't that just be great for this class even though we have a teacher who barely gives good instructions or can't even get the class to shut up, yeah just wonderful. I sarcastically thought.
"Students meet Dylan and no disrespect this time" Ms bird said.
I turned around to this guy who just transferred to our school and I already felt something with him and but I didn't know what though, maybe I was just feeling sick.?!
He has blue eyes, brown hair, perfectly tanned skin and the cutest dimple I've ever seen; He has his hair pulled to the side revealing his hairline and his left silver earring, he was wearing shorts and the basic school shirt which surprisingly he made look good.
Before I could even get up to go to my seat, all the girls had rushed over to him smothering him with compliments and little hints but I wasn't that sorta girl so I just went back to my table and to my surprise the coolest and hottest group of guys sat next to me, and I just wondered why they sat with me because they know I usually sit with the girls in class.
But I then lost my train of thought when the guys started greeting me.
"Sup Preet" Jacob said first
"Hey loving the new haircut girl" Obviously my bff Tom said that
"Hey babe" Theo said in a joking manner
"Excuse me that's my girlfriend your talking to" Cody said(we weren't dating)
Baxter didn't say anything but just gave me the I'm sick of these guys look.
"Ladies calm down(referring to Cody and Theo) and thanks babe for noticing" I said
"All good Preet" Tom said
Cody and Theo angrily starred at me before we all started to laugh for no reason.
For about 5 minutes we were just talking and laughing about random things before my eye has quick glance on Dylan sitting with my 'supposedly best friends' (Rose, Casey, Tiffany, Alexia, Brittany).
I don't even think these girls noticed I wasn't sitting with them but I honestly don't know why I cared or was friends with them like they're the most prettiest girls in the school but they sure know how to be bitches as well, if I hadn't grown up with these girls than I probably could've had better friends at least in the girl category.
"Preet" Baxter said
"Yeah" I said confused of what was being said
"Are you kidding me, were you even listening to our conversation" he said sorta pissed
"Sorry no, I was distracted" I said sincerely
"Ooo by who, I mean what?" Jacob said
"None of your business" I said fiercely
Jacob laughed hinting that he knew I was looking at Dylan, But I just kept a poker face to let him believe that wasn't true.
"Ok well I'll continue now, are you hanging out with the girls or not at lunch" Theo said
"I don't think so" rolling my eyes hoping they catch on to my meaning
"Cool, well footy or basketball?" Theo said
"Basketball" Cody and I said at the same time
We all laughed and then put our thumbs up, before returning to making jokes and doing our work.
"10 minutes to bell you may get your lunch then return to your seats" Ms Bird said
We run out of our seats and grab our lunches before sitting back in our seats and eating our food, it was silent in the classroom until the bell rang.
~Ding ding~
"Jacob go get the ball" Tom said
"Why do I always have to get the ball" Jacob said not knowing what he said wrong
"Jacob" Baxter said cracking up laughing
"Yeah I heard what I said" Jacob said annoyed
"Good I didn't want to be the one having to tell you" I said
We were about to walk out before I got pushed, only to realise that I was falling backwards because someone had spilled water on the floor which I slid into, I was about to land before two arms wrap around my body stopping me from falling on my ass and making a fool of myself, the two arms lift me up like I'm the lightest feather in the world and I land on my feet, the boys were starring at me and I was just amazed.
Dylan was holding me by the waist and once I was back on my feet we just stood there with solid eye contact before he let go of my waist and broke contact, he took a step back and took a deep breath.
"Hey I'm Dylan" he said
"Oh hi I'm Preet and thanks for helping me well you know" I said with a smile
"Um yeah, your welcome and anyway it wasn't a big deal, you're really light" he said
"Lol thanks, um I've gotta go, I'll talk to you back in class, bye." I said
"Yeah, bye" he said
I leave and go play basketball, the boys totally confused of what just happened, not even saying a word while the whole of lunch and nor do I; lunch can't finish soon enough can it. I thought to myself.
