Lia's POV

I stretched. The bruises on my body were beginning to become perminate bruises. The Dementors picked on me the most I don't know why.

My only friend in this hell hole was Sirius Black. I was beginning to love him as sort of an uncle/ father I dont know.

"hey Lia" I heard Sirius say. I put my hand through the hole in the wall and wrappedy hand around his, sort of like a half hug.

"guess what day it is?" he asked.

I racked my brain."my birthday?" I asked sarcastically

Sirius rolled his eyes. "you turned 9 two weeks ago."

I did puppy dog eyes " tell me because I have no idea."

"today sometime you will turn into your animal," Sirius said quietly.

I squealed exitedly.

All of the sudden my joints began to ache and I felt myself shrinking or maybe everything else was getting taller?

Then it all stopped. I saw Sirius ,who looked HUGE, pick up a cracked piece of glass and show me my reflection.

I saw a tiny white wolf, a cub.

It had warm chocolate brown eyes and floppy puppy like ears.

Sirius laughed. I growled a little trying to ask, how do I turn back?

"think of your human form and let yourself melt and morph it's the same to turn back into your wolf," Sirius explained. I did so and found myself human again. "that was so cool!!" I exclaimed.

He laughed amused. Suddenly he stopped and put a finger to his lips telling me to be quiet.

I heard footsteps, a man not a dementor. From the hole in the wall I could see him stop that was when I saw his face.

Cornelius Fudge the man who put me here in Azkaban.

Sirius' POV

Fudge stopped and dropped the daily prophet at my cell door, " for you to read," he said. He then left.

What on earth...?

I picked up the paper not expecting to see much. On the front cover was a family of red heads the Weasleys I realized. Nice family. I read the article below.

"we have to go!!" I said hurriedly standing up.

"how?" Lia asked

"Dementors can't see so we can change to

animagus form and slip through the door.

Lia shook her head sadly and pointed to her cell door which had smaller bars than any others because of how small and skinny she was. I racked my brains.

"you can change, go through this hole and we can slip through MY door," I said excitedly motioning for her to do so. She nodded And put her locket that her mother had given her around her neck and changes into the cute white wolf cub keeping her human eyes. I put my hands through the hole and grabbed the wolf around the middle before putting her down on my cell floor. I changed into my dog form an slipped through the bars Lia followed me. I used my mouth to pick her up and I sprinted past all of the Dementors and jumped into the water paddling hard.

Then,

Land.

I dropped Lia gently and changed as she did the same thing.

Lia jumped into my arms hugging me tightly, this was the closest we had ever got before.

I hugged her back and then holding her hand, we ran out into the night.

Remus Lupins POV

Dumbledore had asked me to be the new DADA teacher and I exepted, wow he must be desperate.

I opened an piece of folded paper. The photo of Amalia Riddle. I folded it again and put it into my pocket to keep safe.
