~Chapter 9~
(Estella's P.O.V)

"Seven?!" Forrest exclaimed.

I nodded as I took a bite from my chocolate chip cookie that I made. It was Thursday after school and we were having another picnic in the park.

"That's a lot." he chuckled and then picked up one of the cookies.

I shrugged. "I don't have a problem with it," I explained. "it's just the fact that I haven't met any if them." I took the last bite of my cookie,then stood up and started to clean up.

Forrest started to clean up too. "I could help you watch them." he suggested.

I blushed a little. "Oh,you don't have to." I told him.

Forrest said, "You'll atleast need some help. Seven is kind of a lot."

I bit my lip. He's right. I would probably need a little bit of help. "Okay,just come over to my house tomorrow after school." I replied. I handed him is picnic blanket.

He nodded,then gave me a kiss goodbye,causing me to blush more.Even though we're dating,I still blush everytime he kisses me.

When I get home,I don't see my parents anywhere. I dug my nails into the palm of my hands. "Mom? Father?" I called. I looked around when I suddenly noticed a small piece of paper on the kitchen table.

'Estella,
We had to leave early for our business trip. We found out about it on such short notice,so we weren't able to tell you. There is some leftovers in the fridge for you to eat for dinner. We will see you on Monday.
Love,Mom and Father'

I folded the note and shuffled over to the fridge. I started eating dinner at the kitchen table and thinking about tomorrow.

It's been a while since I've babysat...probably about three years. What if mess up? What if something goes wrong? What if they don't like me? I ended up thinking of so many bad scenarios that could happen.

I sighed. I need to stop worrying myself. Nothing horrible will happen. That kind if stuff happens in books only,right.

I finish up my dinner and then I decided to call Forrest.

I dialed in his number in the phone and listen to it ring a couple times.

"Hello?" I heard Forrest's voice say.

"Forrest,it's me,Estella." I responded.

Even though I could not see him,I knew he had a smile on his face. "Hi Estella! What do you need?" he asked kindly.

I swallowed. "You're still coming over tomorrow...right?" I murmured,biting my fingernail.

"Of course!" Forrest answered. "Why? Is something wrong?"

I stopped biting at my fingernail. "I am just nervous about my cousins coming over. I haven't babysat for three years." I said. "What if something goes wrong?" I looked down at my feet that were covered with black and white striped stockings.

"Don't worry,Estella,I'll be there to help you." he reassured me with a calm,sweet voice that made me blush.

I smiled a little and nodded. "Okay. Just promise you will be here tomorrow." I replied.

"I give my word." he said.

I smiled more. "I love you." I chuckled. I stood there in shock. Did I just say that I loved him? The couple days that we were dating,neither of us said 'I love you' to each other. Why did I have to say that? I started to feel embarrassed. What if he thinks I'm odd and then he-

"I love you,too." Forrest responds,leaving me speechless. The nervous feeling in my stomach goes away.

When we hung up,I started gracefully dancing around the kitchen. He said he loved me...

My dancing is interrupted when the phone starts ringing again. The sound scares me,causing me to almost trip and fall. Luckily,I catch myself. I stare at the phone,astonished. Who's calling now?

I walked over to the phone and picked it up. "Hello?" I said slowly.

"Estella? Estella,it's mom." she replied.

"Oh,hi mom!" I squeaked into the phone,wondering why mom was calling me. "How come you're calling?" I asked.

"Well,um,there's been a slight change of plans..." Mom answered,sounding a bit nervous.

I raised my eyebrow. "What do you mean...?"

There's a small pause. I bit my lip,waiting for a response. What does she mean by change of plans? Finally,Mom said, "You're cousins are coming over today."
