Orihime sat on her couch, holding a cup of tea. She glanced at the window and saw her reflection. It was as bad as expected. Her face was swollen and her eyes were puffy. Her cheeks were tear stained and her nose was red.
It was raining outside. Pouring actually. It described her mental state. She couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that Grimmjow walked away. He left. He actually left. He wouldn't come back.
Ichigo had to take her home cause she was a crying mess. She couldn't stop crying and she told Ichigo that she wanted to see Grimmjow. Ichigo had to snap her out of it. He had to tell her everything, from A to Z about his history with Grimmjow.
She couldn't process how it was Grimmjow who did that to Rukia. But what made her upset was him lying to her instead of just admitting it. She would have found it easier to forgive, but now everything was messed up.
But when she saw Grimmjow approaching Ichigo, she panicked. She knew he'd hurt him. She put Ichigo ahead of him and hurt Grimmjow. Now that he understood who came first, he would never return.
Orihime wiped her eyes and sat back. She wanted him to come back. Of course, she was afraid of him. Of what he'd do to her. His eyes had that same cold and unforgiving expression in them. She knew he wouldn't hurt her, but now she's uncertain.
But on the other hand, he did change. Slowly but still he did. She covered her mouth and sobbed silently as she remembered how he saved her from that hollow, those delinquents and how he willingly took up a job to help her.
She wanted to see him again. She wanted to talk to him. She wanted him to listen to her.
She sat on the couch for hours, sorting out her feelings. First, she was hurt that Grimmjow lied to her. But... He wanted to explain... And I didn't let him..
The next feeling was regret. She regretted hurting him. Of course she was defending Ichigo but she panicked. Plus the way she put it didn't really help with the situation.
But why was she feeling like this ? Why the hurt ? According to Ichigo, she was better off without him. He aimed to hurt and kill all. But she kept thinking about how he was there for her. She remembered how tenderly he held her and apologised. She remembered her feelings, how much she longed for him to hold her again. How much she wanted to be near him, how much she wanted him to kiss her again like that evening. Then it all made sense. It was like seeing the image right after you've finished assembling the puzzle pieces. She loved him.
"I.....I love him...." She whimpered and wiped her tears.
She shut her eyes and covered her face. Great. She loves him. Now how will she get him back ? She opened her eyes and wiped her tear stained cheeks with a tissue paper when she glanced out the window. She saw someone wearing a grey vest with a striped shirt. That could mean only one thing in her mind. A Soleil employee. Her mind jumped to Grimmjow and she immediately got up and rushed to the door.
"Grimmjow San ?!" She called as she opened the door. She calmed a little when she saw Nina. The wave of disappointment hit her. Hard.
Nina lifted her umbrella a bit. "Orihime chan!"
Orihime smiled softly but shook her head and ran inside.
"Orihime chan ?" Nina called and followed her. She walked into her house to find Orihime sobbing on her couch.
"S-sorry Amori San...." She apologised and wiped her tears.
"What happened darling ?" Nina asked as she set her umbrella down.
