Once I'm downstairs, it's chaos as usual. My dad is getting ready for work, reading the paper and seeing what his next potential case is. Mom is trying to make breakfast but also trying to manage Dave at the same time, something that is very difficult to do.

Honestly, I don't know what goes on in the mornings half the time. Dave has a whole watermelon over his head and is running around in nothing but his underwear, until finally he drops it, and it completely splats.

A typical morning in my house.

I pop a bagel in the toaster as I say good morning to my absolutely insane family. My mom barley manages to say hello as she tries to clean up the watermelon.

" The reaper killed another last night, in our neighbourhood too," my dad said to me kind of sadly. He always keeps me updated in his cases- but I'm always interested, so it's ok.

"Do they have any suspects?" I ask.

"Two guys, but I can't tell you right now neither of them did it. Whoevers doing the killing is smart. Leaving behind no evidence but a R drawn with blood. Gruesome, huh?"
K
"Very" I thought to myself, but just then a pop interrupted my though and I relized my bagel was ready.

I spread some cream cheese on it and ran out the door saying bye to my mom and dad. I needed to catch the bus, then the subway, followed by another bus. Not really that bad, this was the high school of my dreams after all.

I got on the bus, followed by the subway, followed by another bus. Everything was normal, and went smoothly.

School was fine, I had two tests, but they were easy. It being may, we have a lot of assignments due so I'm kind of stressed, but I won't crack.

After school I took the subway to dance, my usual routine. I had contemporary and jazz tonight, and everything was fine. I got chosen to do a solo at a upcoming comp, so that was exciting, but nothing really out of the ordinary happened until I got home.

It was about 5:30 when I got home, so I ate ding ner with my family and went upstairs to work on my projects and homework.

Out of no where, I heard a blood curdling scream, followed by three loud bangs, what I presumed were gunshots. My heart started racing. We live in a nice community, nothing bad ever happened. I know this would leave a big impact. First I needed to see what actually happened, though.
