It has been two days after I had fled from Sebastian's abusive and neglectful rule over me. I couldn't find a place to go and I was completely alone. I wrapped the black tail coat, that I stole, around my shoulders and watched my breath spread out in front of me. I laid my ears back slightly and let out a stressed sigh. "I really don't understand men. They need to make up their minds on whether they want to love you or hate you."
I began making my way down the street and came across a spooky looking graveyard. "For a demon, I'm such a scaredy shit.." My eyes wandered to a tall, hazy figure standing in the midst of worn away tombstones and he was...laughing?
I walked through the cool mist and found myself in a clearing. I couldn't believe who I saw. It was Undertaker. I hadn't seen him much or heard from him much. I was too shy at the time to say anything or even interact with him. My empty heart was lifted by the feeling of ultimate hope and I stepped forward. "H..Hello," I murmured, keeping my gaze to the misty ground.
"What was that deary? I couldn't hear you." He laughed and looked up at me, smiling his usual, toothy grin."Oh, well you probably don't rem-," I was cut off mid sentence and a joyous, cracked voice replaced mine in the silence.
"I remember you deary. You're the shy little cat who refused to look me in the eye, are you not?" He turned around and tilted his head, smiling softly. "I am..but that was how many years ago?" I smiled slightly, then the smile disappeared.
I looked behind me, then turned back to Undertaker. "Uh.." He put one of his long nails to his lips and acted like he was thinking hard. "I don't know, dearie. I don't keep track of time as I used to." He put his sleeve covered hands up in an 'oh well' position and giggled.
I laid my ears back as the temperature dropped and whined slightly. "Hey...I need-," I was interrupted again and I stood silent. "I'm not a Hey. You can call me Adrian instead. I like that name better." His face lit up as if he just made the funniest joke in the world. 'How can he be so happy?' I thought to myself, gazing blindly at the man in front of me. "You were saying, love?" He said with a patient smile.
My cheeks heated and I growled under my breath. "Well...I've run away from Sebastian, because he's being very unfair and neglectful towards me. I don't have anywhere to go..and you're the only person I know around here.."
I looked up at him, my eyes filled with endless sadness. He seemed to stare at me forever before snapping from his dazed state. "Hmm, it seems you're in quite a pickle, now doesn't it?" His giggles filled the graveyard and my tail fluffed up from the fright.
I stayed silent and stared at the ground. I felt a soft finger under my chin and looked straight into the partially covered eyes of the Undertaker. "How about I let you stay with me?" He breathed. I tilted my ears towards him and nodded. "Alright, let's go darling.."
