Line---- are the transitions.

Line-----

One day, you see him. Not from across miles of the canyon, but really see him. He is the same age as you. He's been alive the same amount of time as you. And he's running right towards you.

Line-----

One day. It started like any other. You gave across the crevice separating you from each other, expecting to see her dying light, slipping away into darkness. But instead you see her, the same age as you, going over the crevice, walking on air. And so you run. Run for her. Run for life. Run for love.

Line-----

And you're almost there--you reach out and your hand brushes his before he grips it and you're together and the world goes dark but you don't care because the impossible has happened and you're together. You're holding his hand, he's alive, you're alive, his hand is warm and shaking with happiness and you can feel it so you can't be dead, but it doesn't matter anymore because you're together, alive. You think you could go on forever by the old ways just with this moment in your memory, because you know if it happened once it can happen again an for one second, just one, you let yourself hope.

Then the screams began.

Line---

You grab her hand and the world could have stopped spinning and you wouldn't care, because you're together, you're fine, it's not something that you have to fantasize about anymore, because she's here, and this is really happening. But then the world goes dark. And you're afraid. You've never been afraid before, not of dying, because death is only the beginning of a life, but you've never lived without light and now you're afraid if you can't live without light and it scares you and you can feel your hand shaking against her's but she is still. You can't see her face but she seems happy and you wonder for a moment why she isn't afraid. Screams pierce the air and she yanks her hand away away from your's and the light comes back and you breathe out. You hadn't even realized you were holding your breath until now. It isn't until she grasps your hand like a lifeline and the world turns dark and the screams start again that you realized that they had stopped. You start breathing hard again and your palms grows sweaty and she notices your fear. With the practiced air of someone who knows what they're doing, she let your hand slide out of her's as she passes you on her journey across the sky. You do the same, the only thing that you know how to do. But you don't look back. Because you know, as surely as the sun will rise, you will meet once more.

The next time she rises, you'll be ready.

The next time the moon rises, you'll be ready.

You can't wait for the next eclipse.

Line-----

Guy's the sun, girl's the moon, the five minutes is the sunsets and sunrises, the canyon is the world, love is gravity, and when the sun or moon goes out of view it dies.
